A new rumor says that the total cost to redesign Sonic for the upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog movie 🐻cost about $5 million and not the $35 million as initially re✱ported.
The new Sonic The Hedgehog movie trailer recently debuted and showcased the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:redesigned blue speedster. If you recall, w♊e 🔯got our first look at Sonic earlier this year and he was so horrendous that the production company actually took the unheard-of step to redesign Sonic from scratch.
Well, maybe not entirely from scratch. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:According to a VFX guy who worked on the film, they actually just went back to an original design they had lying around. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:A Sonic Mania animator helped with that, too.
Movie companies don’t generally take this extreme step so late in a film’s production, but the outcry from the original trailer was so huge that Paramount felt it was their only option. The original sonic looked bad in every way. Worse,🦄 it made the movie look cheap, and nobody wants to go see a movie that sp🍎ends the bare minimum on its computer graphics.
So now we have a new Sonic thanks to Paramount spending a whole lot of money. An said that Paramount spent upwards of $35 million on Sonic’s makeover, bringing the total budget for the film up to $125 million. To put that into perspective, that's about the same amount of money as like The Da Vinci Code, The Day After Tomorrow, Life of Pi, and Mission Impossible 2.
If that sounds like a lot to spend on a blue hedgehog co-starred by Jim Carrey, you’re probably right. A new rumor, thanks to a source within Paramount speaking to , says that the actual amount spent on Sonic’s redesign is probably just under $5 🙈million.
The reason for that is because Sonic’s gr🌼aphics weren’t completed when the original trailer came out. According to the source, the only CG work that was actually done was featured in the trailer, with the rest of the film still waiting on the green light. After the trailer bombed, Paramount ordered that version of Sonic scღrapped and then got to work on the new version and a new trailer.
That’s still a lot of money to spend on a colossal failure of marketing. Hopefully whoever designed the first Sonic got a thorough talking to about the finer poin🍎ts of 𒆙hedgehog design.
