15 Farming Games That Aren't Stardew Valley
꧃Stardew Valley is an༒ exceptional farming game but it's not the only one around. Here's a look at others that are a blast to play.
Apart from being one of the most relaxing parts of the game, farming is also great for earning a ton of money every single day. However, there are quite a few things that you have to keep in mind if you w🅠ant to be the most efficient ꧟with this process.
How To Plant Crops
Before you start thinking about farming in Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma, you'll first need a development zone under your name. These zones are highlighted in green when you look at a village's map. Initially, you only start with one development zone in each village, but you get more as you increase its level.
You'll get your first development zone in Spring Village after a bit of the main story, and the game will ask you to plant your first few crops there. To do this, you have to head inside the development zone and bring out the Terra Tiller by either selecting from the Sacred Treasure wheel or simply pressing the button shown at the bo꧅ttom of your screen.
When you have the Terra Tiler in your hands inside a development zone, Village Builder mode is turned on and .
With the Terra Tiller in hand, click on the Building Menu button and find the Field in the menu that opens. If you don't have any fields, you have to call Woolby in the Terra Tiller mode and he can help you create some with two Red and Rich Soil each. Place this🍰 field at the desired location and you can start growing crops.
Once the field is down, you can head back inside the Building Menu and select the seeds you want to plant. With the seeds selected, you can plant them in all the empty fields. Whil𓆉e selecting the🅷 seed, you'll be able to see its growth time, suitable village, and how much you can sell the seed for.
It's recommended to plant seeds in their suitable village as they grow faster with possibly more output there.
After getting the seeds planted, you can water them by interacting with the Field every day and eventually harvest them. While seeds usually take three or more days to grow, you can harvest them much faster if you use certain Sacred Treasures (more on this below). You can also see the estimated output and sale value of the crop once you plant it by hovering over it.
If you get any fruit or general tree saplings, you can directly plant them on the ground within the development zones. Fruits are best grown in the recommended region𒉰 on the sapling. Once harves🍌ted, you can sell your crops directly to the merchants or put them in the .
How To Plant Rice
While most seeds can be planted in normal fields, Rice is an exception as it needs to be planted in a Rice Paddy. You'll initially start getting Rice and its seeds fairly early as you interact with various Jizo shrines around the world. However, you'll🍌 only be able to start farming them once you reach Autumn Village as you get the required recipes here.
Once you reach the village, you can put a Rice Paddy with a Waterway on its adjacent tile, which will fill water inside the paddy. You can then easily plant the rice𝄹 seeds here and harvest them when they're grown. You'll get the highest ൩output of rice from these if you plant them in the Autumn Village itself.
How To Increase Seed Level
While planting different seeds in Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma, you might've noticed that they have a level assigned to them. When you plant a higher-level seed, it yields higher-level crops, which in turnඣ let you ꦏmake higher-level recipes. There are two main ways to do this:
- Once you get the Sacred Sword, you can swing it at a fully grown crop to get extra seeds instead of the crop itself. Apart from getting extra seeds here, which lets you multiply them, you also have a chance to increase their level by one.
- You can also get certain villagers with a specific trait that has a chance of increasing the seed level when they harvest them. However, villagers are generally quite inefficient at maintaining the field.
In our experience, the chances of getting an increased level seed while using the Sacred Sword increase after harvesting a few lower-level ones normally.
You can get each seed to a maximum of level nine, and apart from increasing your dish levels, this also increases the sale price for them. This makes it a great idea to increase the level of your golden crop seeds as fast as you can. Other than the Sacred Sword, you can use o♉ther Sacred Treasures to help with farming 😼as well:
- Using the Sacred Drum can instantly remove one day from the leftover time of the seed's harvest. You can use this once instantly after planting the seed, which means that you can essentially harvest a crop with a three-day growth period every day. It's important to use these on every crop you plant for maximum yield.
- You can also use the Sacred Parasol to water the seeds in a specific AoE instantly. This AoE can be increased by upgrading the Parasol's skills.
- Finally, you can use the Sacred Fan's attack to instantly harvest all the grown crops in its path. This is specifically useful when you have a lot of crops ready for harvesting.
Sacred Drum and Parasol roughly have a range of two tiles on each side, which means that the best way to plant your crops is in a 5x5 grid. This will let you stand in the middle of each group of 25🥂 crops and use both of these treasures on them. Furthermore, since the Sacred Fan's attacks go in a straight path, it's recommended to make longer lines of the fields.
So, if you want to go over 25 crops, you should plant another 25 in a straight line and repeat the process until yo🐎u have enough crops to be the most efficient. You can also use the Sacred Drum 🐻on trees, which will help you harvest wood from them twice a day or make the fruit's growth faster.
Sometimes, the drum doesn't reach the corner tiles of the grid, so it's important to check if it's been applied to every tile before leaving.
All Seed Locations In The Open World
Now that you know everything about farming in Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma, the next step is to find out where you can find the seeds. For the most part, you can buy a lot of seeds from General Stores around the villages like Iroha's store in Spring Village. However, these seeds are quite expensive and not worth the 🐲money.
As you're exploring the map, you can find four tiles of crops at some locations, and harvesting them will give you four seeds, which you can then multiply with the Sacred Sword. Here's how you can 💜find the seeds for each region:
