As the identity of the Oni god gets revealed to you, he'll take you to the Oni Is🎉land in the sky. However, as you're about to enter the Underworld, Mezuki and Gozuki will block your path.
These are the two monsters guarding the door, and you'll have to fight them at the same time if you want to progress. They'll also be level 55, which makes them quite difficult to defeat unless you paౠy attention. Mezuki and Gozuki are weak to the earth and water elements respectively, while both of them are also weak to Short Swords.
You can consistently get better blueprints for this type of weapon as you interact with ⛎t𝓀he red shrines around the world.
Mezuki is arguably the harder boss here since your Sacred Drum can't deal any damage with its normal attack. To get past this battle quickly, it's recommended to focus on Gozuki first. Simply stay near Gozuki and dodge one of his attacks to trigger the time slow effect, an🌟d attack him with your charged attacksꦐ during it.
This will give you a bunch of progress on his stun bar while also giving you spirit bar. After Gozuki is stunned, use your Sacred Parasol's abilities to deal 🃏high damage to it while also increasing Mezuki's stun bar. After the ability, keep attacking Gozuki with your Sacred Parasol's attack using your RP as much as possible.
You can trigger the time slow effect from both bosses' attacks, so you should try to keep both of them in your line of sight.
Once Gozuki is defeated, you can follow th💛e same method to stun Mezuki and use Sacred Drum's abilities on him. After defeating both of these bosses, you can enter the Underworld and get the qu🐻est to reach Devil's Bluff.
How To Beat The Underworld
As soon as you enter the Underworld, you'll be able to see your final destination, which is the entrance to Kai's castle, right in front. However, the bridge taking you there will be blocked and you'll have to go all the way around the area. As you move a bit forward anꦏd enter an open part, you'll constantly have to fight enemies here.
These enemies will be quite high level and will spawn constantly, so you need to be ready for everything. Apart from that, you'll also enter larger segments blocked by a bunch of blight, and you'll have t🌊o remove it in a specific 🌞order to get past. The first such blight can be found as you reach the middle of the left alley going up.
There will be three purple flowers that you'll have to destroy with your Sacred Sword here. The first one can be seen in the open beside the structure in the middle with stairs on it. You can find the second and third blights behind an Oni and a normal boulder respectively on the corners of theꦯ room.
You have to use your Sacred Mask on the oni stone while the normal boulder can be broken with your hammer. After getting rid of all three flowers, you'll be able to 💙move 🍌forward.
The Underworld has a bunch of chests and frog statues hidden in corners behind Oni boulders, so you should look out for them.
After going forward just a bit, you'll first have to defeat a couple of archers on top of vehicles. Your melee attacks can't reach these, so you'll need a high-level bow or talismans here. Once you defeat the enemies, find the big fa🧔n on the left side of the area, which triggers the wind current nearby. You can then ride this cuꦑrrent to the purple blight and get rid of it.
Going forward from that, as you're about to reach the top central area with the statue, you'll have a big fight surrounded by a bunch of red blights. After defeating the monsters here, you can first 🅘climb the ve♋hicle in the middle using the wooden cart beside it. Get to the edge of the vehicle near the blight and use your Secret Parasol attack.
This will help you clear the blight on both sides, and then you can clear the final one near the ground to move forward.
As you get past the teleport statue, you'll enter an area with a total of four blight plants. You have to get rid of them in a certain order since the veins from previous plants are 🦩blocking some of the later ones:
- After entering the area, start by using the wooden plank beside a building to get on top and remove the green blight on the top right side of the building.
- From here, you can jump in the southwest direction and get to the second green blight. However, this one will be guarded by a difficult battle, so it's recommended to have at least one good Sacred treasure ability ready.
- The third blight can be found on the top right side of this area past an Oni boulder. As you enter here, activate the three fans near the edges of the room and you can get to the blight.
- Finally, you can head back up to the top of buildings and easily reach the fourth blight.
Once you get past this room, you can once again progress while defeating enemies until you reach the bottom right side, where you'll have to find the 🔴blights in a specific order again:
- For the first purple blight, head to the bottom of this room and you'll find it behind the circular building. From here, you can also see a green blight in the bottom left side of the room on the map.
- After that, use the wooden platform on the bottom left side of the circular building where you found the first blight, and you can make your way to the second green blight.
- From here, you can find the second purple blight on a rooftop at the bottom left side of the room, which will unlock a fan below the red blight. Activate the fan and you can then head up to remove it.
- Keep going to the left and you'll find the red blight on the right side of the alley, with the final purple one behind a boulder on the left.
After a𓃲ll this, you can finally get to the castle entrance and the boss fight once you head inside.
How To Defeat Lord Ura
Lord Ura is the final boss of The Underworld in Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma, and while this boss fight can be fought just like any other, the sheer size of him can be quite intimidating. The boss has light and long swords as his weakness, and while you won't have the former during your first battle with him, it's still recommended to use your best long sword, if possible.
