Desperate Measures will move the Elder Gods questline for꧃ward, as players assemble a ragtag crew to explore the land of Anachronia. The Archaeology skill will apparently play a big role in this update and will allow adventures to unravel previously unknown info about the Dragonkin — a r🌄ace of intelligent, dragon-like humanoids.

The July 27 update will "set things in motion that 💜will inevitably lead to the rising of the Elder Gods, and the Elder God Wars." As is typically the case with these updates, you'll have to be a member to reap all its benefits.

RuneScape has seen quite the revival lately — that is, if it ever truly died to begin with. Millions of players log in to the nostalgic title every month and Old School RuneScape is one of the most viewed MMORPGs on Twitch. Believe it or not, it often beats out popular titles such as Path of Exile, Black Desert Online, and Final Fantasy XIV in terms of concurrent viewers. RuneScape may not be as popular as Old School RuneScape, but it ha♛s a dedicated following and is constantly seeing the release of new content.

A mobile adaptation of Old School RuneScape released a few years ago — no doubt helping to rekindle the population's obsession with the franchise. RuneScape, often called RuneScape 3, can now also be play🐻ed on Android൩, with an iOS Closed Beta in the works.

When Desperate Times released in 2019, players were incredibly happy with the final product. Fans were impressed with the cutscenes, voiceovers, and thoroug𒆙h recap that allowed everyone to enjoy the new content. Jagex also did a fantastic job of introducing the Archaeology skill, and hopes are high that Desperate Measures both utilizes this new ability in an effective way and is a proper follow-up to Desperate Times.

Desperate Measures is set for a J🤡uly 27 release date. We'll be speaking with the developers at Jagex in the coming days, so stayed tuned for more information.
