announced that upon logging in as of March 30th, members with the Max, Completionist, Trimmed Completionist, and Gatherer’s capes will see them removed from their inventories. However, members who reach level 99 within six months of the skill’s launch or level 120 after the six-month period will receive the Max Cape, as well as see the return of their Completionist and Trimmed Completionist capes. The💛se six months are considered a grace period to even the odds for players rushing to max out the skill, wherein items such as experience lamps, bonus experience, and other experience-boosting items will be disabled for Archaeology.

While gathering Archaeology materials will take up much of a player’s time, repairing artifacts and relics are expected to make up the bulk of Archaeology rewards. Relics will be particularly useful to players grinding out the Archaeology skill, as acquiring and dissembling Relics will reward players with devices such as the Ancient Gizmo and XP Capacitor that enhance the players’ ability to earn experience in other skills. Besides rewarding the player with massive amounts of experience, repaired artifacts can be given to private collectors such as the Wise Old Man, excha💎nged for new currency when donated to the Varrock Museum, or simply kept by players for future use.
