Shortcuts can be taken if you get extremely lucky with some loot drops, or happen to stumble across a geared-up body in the wilderness. If not, it's back to hitting rocks and doing it the old-fashﷺioned way.
10 ꦿ The All-Powerꦅful Rock
It's a rock. The very first item you pick up, probably, is the rock. That lump in🍒 the shadows? Yes, it's a rock. You'll find it lying around on the floor. Join a server a bit late and you might struggle to find rocks anywhere else than on the floor, as the stone nodes are usually snuffled up by organized teams of Rust professionals. Sort of.
You c♔an carry the rock around, bash people over the head with it, and throw it. Spen💫d enough time with the rock and you'll end up giving it a nickname. The Stone Hatchet is the logical next step in Rust, and one of the first things you should as 🎃a new player. You need 200 Wood and 100 Stones to craft one. That mea𝔍ns you need to spend quite a long time collecting twigs and smashing your rock ♌on other rocks, but it all gets easier with the Stone Hatchet.
Why craft the Stone Hatchet before any other tool? Wood is a crucial resource in the early game, mostly to craft the Hammer, which in turn allows you to begin upgrading the foundations of your first base. Best to get set up with somewhere safe as soon as you can. The less time you spend in the open flailing a rock🍸 about the better.
8 The Hammer ꩵ
The Hammer is useful t🐓hroughout your time in Rust, and you want to make sure there is always a Hammer or two within reach. This tool allows you to begin the base-building fundamentals by repairing or upgrading placed building blocks.

You need 200 wood and 100 stones to craft the pickaxe. You will need a pickaxe to start mining your first substantial node resources, like metal. The pickaxe is less durable than the stone hatchet. 6 💯 🎶 The Hatchet
You're moving up in the world of Rust. The Haﷺtche♔t is the next step to improve your resource harvesting efficiency and finally stop crafting Stone Hatchets over and over and over again.

5 The Pic🍒k Axe ൩
Like the Hatchet, the Pickaxe is the next upgrade for the regular Stone Pickaxe. This also requires metal ཧfragments (125) and 100 wood. It's specifically designed to harvest stone and metal nodes and can be used to good effect to get through stone walls.
This upgraded pick also harvests more resources fro✃m each node, is actually slower than a hatchet (if you're forced to use it as a weapon), and is useless at gathering wood.
4 🍰 Salvaged Axe
Is it worth it to pick up the Salvaged Axe? It's expensive, requiring a metal pipe and 5 metal blades. Every repair costs 2 high-quality metal and 75 extra metal fragments, which means usin✅g th🍷is tool as a method to cut down trees isn't resource-efficient. The yields are good, but it's going to cost you a lot of metal.
The Salvaged Axe is useful if you're raiding a base that's made primarily out of wood. It deals a decent amount of damage and shreds through wooden walls and doors. It's even better if the opponent's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:base is starting to decay.
3 🅰 Salvaged Iꦉcepick
The Salvaged Icepick is the best craftable pickaxe in the game. ﷺAlthough it costs the same as a Salvaged Axe (1 metal pipe and 5 metal blades), it's definitely more worthwhile picking up. It brings the best of the Stone Pick Axe's mining speed with the Pick Axe's overall efficiency.
It swings slowly, about as slowly as your trusty rock, but it harvests more materials with each swiꦅng. You need a level 2 Workbench to get access to the Salvaged Icepick, but once you do you've got the top-t👍ier tool for harvesting nodes.
2 🐭 Jackha🎶mmer
The Jackhammer cannot be crafted and is only available f🍎rom loot boxes (Too🅰ls boxes and Sunken Crates) or purchased from the outpost.
It doesn't require fuel, is the fastest way to mine ores, and completely i﷽gnores the importance of the Sweet Spot when mining. Although you ♌can't craft the Jackhammer, it can be repaired on a Workbench.
1 Chainsaw
This is probably one of the loudest tools in the game. You'll be able to shred through trees like butter, but every𝔉 player on the server will know what you're doing and where you are. Best used when you're being watched by your mates, or when you're feeling confident and ready to defend your new stockpile of wood.
The Chainsaw requires low-grade fuel to run and ignores the Sweet Spot for harvesting wood. Just like a real Chainsaw, you might need to give it a couple of pulls before it starts (just click your right mouse button.) As you might expect, the Chainsaw can be used as a melee weapon, dealing 12 damage per hit. You could use it to take on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:some of Rust's more dangerous animals.
