Rust is a challenging game that can have a brutal learning curve. You begin with nothing but a rock and a dream of surviving this harsh landscape. At first, you're merely attempting to build simple bases that will keep your items secure. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:But, once you have the basics down, a big part ꦿof Rust is creating elaborate constructs to call home.

An exciting way to stand out from all the other mundane bases in the area is to create an elevator. These allow you to head up and down six flo🐻ors of your remarkable base. The elevators are pretty expensive to construct but are relatively sturdy. They can take quite a few melee attacks and require two rockets to destroy them.

However, it's important to note that if the bottom elevator is destroyed, the entire tower will crumble. Despite this security flaw, they are a fun addition to any base, allowing you to navigate a multistorey home quickly.

How To Get The Elevator Component And Blueprint In Rust

Rust - The Outpost - The Outpost shop list

The best way to get hold of an Elevator Component is to head to one of the Outposts. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:This is🧔 an essential landmark to visit as it acts as a safe area. While here, you don't have to worry about rivals attacking you and can shop in peace. Once there you'll need to do the following:

  • At the outpost's vending machine, you can purchase an elevator component for 250 pieces of scrap.
  • With one of these components, a Research Bench can be used to create the elevator blueprint. It just requires an additional 125 pieces of scrap to make.
  • The original elevator component will be destroyed in the process, but now you know how to create as many elevator components as you desire.

Another way to find the blueprint is to look through elite tier crates and locked crates. But, the chance of the blueprint being dropped is so low (around one to two percent chance) that it isn't worth searching for them so the Outpost is the best choice.

Acquiring The Materials For An Elevator In Rust

Rust: High-quality metal ore, High-quality metal bars, Scrap metal, a Gear - An Arctic biome background

Purchasing the elevator components from the Outpost is the easiest way to build one, as it just requires you to have enough scrap to acquire four or five of them (depending on how many levels their base has). But, with the blueprint unlocked, it is possible to craft the components at a Level 2 Workbench. One elevator component requires:

  • 300 metal fragments
  • Five High-quality metal
  • three gears

Metal fragments are created by smelting down metal ore at a furnace. Fortunately, metal ore is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a widespread resource found all over.

High-quality metal is a little harder to come by. Tꦑhey require finding (and then smelting) high-quality metal ores, which are more commonly found in the Arctic regions of the map.

You can sometimes find Gears in Loot crates and barrels. But, they can also be crafted at a Level 3 Workbench for 100 scrap and 25 metal fragments. The good old Outpost also sells them for 125 pieces of scrap.

With all the components, you can craft t🌞he elevator in a matter of seconds.

How To Construct An Elevator Shaft In Rust

Rust: An elevator on a single foundation - A player placing another elevator component on top of another

To create an elevator shaft, you need to have an empty square foundation available. There cannot be anything above or below the elevator that might block its path, such as another floor frame. If there is something inꦦ the way, each ele🔴vator component will be unable to connect to one another.

You also need to be aware of positioning. The elevator can only be accessed from the front and the back. Fences will block access from the left and right of the elevator. So it is crucial to rotate the elevator into the correct position before placing it. It is also helpful to know that once constructed, walls and doorways can be built around the elevator to make it more secure.

With those parameters accounted for, creating the elevator shaft is relatively simple. Starting from the bottom, you simply stack the elevator components right on top of one another, extending up to a maximum of six floors. If you want to go higher, then you'll need to start a separate elevator shaft elsewhere.

How To Power The Elevator In Rust

Rust: A large battery - The motor of an elevator

The elevator will not function without electricity. When the elevator shaft is constructed, the highest level will store the motors required to power it. The elevator requires just a little bit of power. A medium or large battery will do the trick. Both batteries require Tech Trash (which is often found in locked crates) and High-quality metal.

Using a wire tool, you can connect your power source of choice to the elevator. The wiring must connect to the main generator on the ceiling. Once powered, the elevator will light ꧃up to s🎉ignify it is working correctly.

The elevator can be used right away, consuming around five power when idle. You simply need to press the two red and green buttons inside to be raised and lowered.

Setting Up Buttons On Each Floor

Rust: A Call Elevator socket - A red button with a power output

There is one last step to finish setting up the perfect elevator: Having call points on each floor to summon it. The easiest way to do this is to acquire buttons from an Outpost vending machine. They only cost 30 pieces of scrap, don't require a power source, and are pretty simple to set up.

On the floor that you want to summon the elevator, you'll need to attach a button on the nearby wall. Using the wire tool, you can connect the power output slot of the button to the Call Elevator socket. This socket is located just on the edge of the elevator shaft. Once connected, the elevato𝓡r arrive✃s at just a click of a button.

With a fully functioning🌜 elevator all set up,you will never have to walk up a flight of stairs ever again. Welcome to the futur๊e!
