Sa🌼dly, it doesn’t look like the Xbox Game Pass is going to make it to the Nintendo Switch after all. Or the PlayStation, or ꦍanywhere else for that matter.
Microsoft is suddenly the games company that wants to be friends with everyone. Starting with Minecraft crossplay and leading to memes that target PlayStation for being the odd person out, Microsoft expanded their ambitions early last year with rumors that they were looking to bring the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Xbox Game Pass to the Nintendo Switch.
In fact, Xbox Head Phil Spencer made it clear he wanted to bring Game Pass to as many platforms as he could. And he succeeded, at least partially, with Game Pass arriving on PC and mobile devices (168澳洲幸运5开奖网:thanks to Project xCloud). But plans to bring Game Pass to the Switch didn🅰’t seem to pan out.
And now it’s looking like they probably never will. In a ﷺnew interview with German games publication GameStar, Phil sou⭕nded pretty pessimistic.
"The thing about other gaming console platforms is we're not able to bring a full Xbox experience on those platforms," he said. "The other competitive platforms really aren't interested in havi💝ng a full Xbox experience on their hardwar✅e. But for us, we want to be where gamers want to be and that's the path that we're on."
Spencer mentioned features like Xbox Live community, achievements, and the entire first-party library as things t🍸hat neither Sony nor Nintendo wanted to bother with integrating into their hardware, which honestly sounds like a lot of work. And what's the pay off♎ for them? More games that they don't even own?
On the plus side, it seems that Microsoft did at least try to reach across the vast divide of consoles to see if this could have been a thing. You have to admire the attempt, even if it did tu🌞rn out to🍸 be a fever dream. Maybe one day we'll get there.
In the meantime, Game Pass for PC is probably the best subscription games service in the world right now, and you should check it out. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Seriously.
