Yesterday, the original 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Saints Row turned 17. An Xbox 360 exclusive, often mired with the label of GTA-clone, it⛎ launched to gargantuan success. In the past two decades, it has led to three sequels, the spin-off Gat out of Hell, Agents of Mayhem, a remaster of the third game, and a reboot.

However, when asked if the first and second games would ever get brought to current-gen, the official Saints Row Twitter said, "🐽;We have no plans to remake them".

Fans have long been asking about Saints Row 1 and 2 remakes and remasters. While you can play the first game through the Xbox One and Series' backwards compatibility program, it was never made available on PC or PlayStation like its sequels. Saints Row 2 was, but the PC port is extremely buggy on modern hardware and requires a bit of tinkering and modding to get it up to scratch.

The original Saints Row saw The Boss getting initiated into the gang that they would eventually lead into presi༺dency and galactic domination, but the more grounded story was often likened to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, only with Keith David at the helm. There are huge twists that set the stage for the sequels, iconic characters like Benjamin King, and of course, Johnny Gat showing wh🉐y he was always the right-hand man of the Saints.

The first two games were also set in Stilwater, not Steelport, a city that the series largely moved away from with the third game. Saints Row 2 also introduces Pierce and Shaundi, showing how The Boss came to recruit them, while also introducing the fan-favourite Carlos. We get to see how Stilwater changed following the events of the first game, as megacorporation Ultor begins cracking down on gang warfare. If you haven't tried them out, don't let the lack of a remake stop you - they're still worth giving a go today.

While the first two Saints Row games are not getting remakes anytime soon, the reboot is reportedly coming to PS Plus according to Dealabs user bilbil-kun, who has a strong reputation for accurately leaking PS Plus updates. They claim that the reboot will be a free month🔴ly game in Septem💦ber, available to pick up until October 3.

It launch🔯ed to a fairly low Metacritic score of 61 - we scored it 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:three stars out of five - but Volition has continued to release huge updates in a bid to try and remedy many of the 🐬problems playe꧂rs had on release. Now, you can bite the bullet at no extra cost and see how much has changed in the year since it launched.
