The game was originally released in 2013 for PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. It was a critical and commercial success thanks to its wacky humor, over-the-top action, and crazy superpowers. It went on to be ported to the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Linux in 2015. Nintendo Switch users will now have a chance to get up to speed before Saints Row 5's possible arrival later this year.
According to , there will be loads of new content including the President Package, and the Commander in Chief Package. It also features DLC content from the original game including "How tౠhe Saints Save Christmas" and "Enter t🍰he Dominatrix."
The story of Saints Row 4: Re-elected revolves around The Boss becoming the President of the United States. Shortly after, he's captured in an alien invasion — along with hi𓆉s crew — and placed in a simulation. The rest of the game involves escaping from the simulation and rescuing the rest of the crew.
The gameplay and mechanics deviated from the older game with the main characters gaining superpowers such as super-speed and the ability to jump over buildings. Players were also given elemental powers including the ability to shoot fire and ice. Although the open-world map was almost identical to the one in the previous game, the new gameplay elements and mechanics made it feel fresh. Saints Row 4 was also famous for its wild humor 💖and, notably, the way it parodied other famous games.
Last year saw the release of Saints Row: The Third on the Switch. The release was plagued with performance issues like bad input lag and slow frame rates. Some of the issues were carried over from the original console releases and some had to do with the Switch's hardware. There were also complaints that Saints Row: The Third felt dated and immature, but that's to be expected after being released all the way back in 2011. Let's hope Saints Row 4 can make amends for the previous games' poor performance and attract new fans to ꦕthis crazy franchise.
