Developers and publishers have done some strange things to promote their games. We’ve seen 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Frieza taking over billboards in 🧸Japan, commanding passers by to check out Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle; 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a giant Emile head paraded around on a truck for Nier Replicant, and a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:life size Lady Dimitrescu promoting Resident Evil Village. However, Remedy Entertainment boss Sam Lake clearly doesn’t believe in expensive marketing setups. He promoted the upcoming launch of Alan Wake Remastered by… gettin🃏g into a lake.
You’d be lying if you said that you never once thought about Sam Lake and Alan Wake’🌳s rhyming last names. Whether by coincidence or not, this rhyme created a great opportunity for a silly marketing angle, one that Remedy ꦿdid not miss out on. It’s not like it was a planned shoot or anything, it’s just a phone-recorded TikTok video of Sam Lake floating around in a freezing lake while talking to viewers.
“While waiting for Alan Wake Remastered to come out, I came here to take a swim in Cauldron Lake,” said Lake while attempting to stay above the surface of the water. “Not a good idea, it’s very cold, dark, and deep. So deep that it makes you think it’s not a lake at all.” The video then goes on to get a bit strange as Lake “luckily” finds a coffee thermos to keep himself from freezing. He manages to pour out a bit of coffee into a cup, all while trying to stay afloat, before diving back below the su♑rface.
While I appreciate Lake’s determination to use the rhyme and the Lake reference, I do hope this stunt didn&r🌠squo;t get him sick.
Remedy communications director Thomas Puha recently revealed that Alan Wake Remaﷺstered will feature references to the Remedy connected 🌳universe, namely Control. It&rsquo꧃;s unclear whether he was referring to newly added cont꧋ent, or things that were already in the original game and went unnoticed.
Speaking of references, the game will 168澳洲幸运5开奖🎶网:not include product placement from the original. As you may remember, the world of Alan Wake was fi💜lled with real life brands like Verizon and Energizer, however those deals have 🍷since expired and will be replaced by generic in-universe brands.
