How To Unlock The Zipline
The Zipline is unlocked in the Caterium research tree in the MAM. There are three research nodes you need to complete before the one unlocking the Zipline becomes ava༺ilable. They are detailed below.
- Caterium - 10x Caterium Ore
- Caterium Ingots - 50x Caterium Ore
- Quickwire - 50x Caterium Ingot
After researching Quickwire, you can then research the Zipline research node by delivering 100 Quickwire and 50 Cables to the MAM. After a short three-second research time, the Zipline will be unlocked for crafting at the Equipment Workshop.
At the Equipment Workshop, you can craft the Zipline using one Xeno-Zapper, 30 Quickwire, 3 Iron Rods, and 10 Cables.
To craft all the Caterium-related materials you need for one Zipline, you'll need a total of 228 Caterium Ore. You'll definitely need to take the time to set up a Miner on a Caterium node, so be sure to utilize the Scanner to find one 🌜nearby.
How To Use The Zipline
To use the Zipline, equip it in one of your hand slots, then jump and hold left-click near a Power Pole cable. Doing this will cause you to start sliding on the cable in the direction you're facing, increasing speed if you are going dow👍nhill or slowing down if you're going uphill.
Typically, when you reach the end of the cable, you'll be knocked off the Zipline and need to jump back on the next segment of cable. However, you can make things more efficient by utilizing Wall Outlets, obtainable from the Awesome Shop, to continue along a power♎ line without disruption.
