It’s 2020 and someone wants to make a Seinfeld point-and-click adventure game.

The last episode of the hit sitcom 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Seinfeld aired on May 14, 1998. Since then it’s just been syndicated reruns aꩵnd the full series streaming on Netflix. What’s weird is that even though the show is over two decades old, it still manages to capture new fans with its still-relevant ♈humor.

What’s also weird is that it was never adapted into a point-and-click adventure game despite airing during the golden age of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:point-and-click adventure games. A miꦆssed opportunity that one indie game dev duo plans on solving.

Jacob Jenerka is an Australian game developer who made Paradigm. Ivan Dixon is the pixel artist who did the pixel intros to The Simpsons, Adventure Time, and Rick & Morty. Together, they want to make a retro point-and-click adventure game based on the Seinfeld universe. Which is like our own universe, but based on an idealized version of the '90s since it’s taken from a t🤡elevision sitcom.

It's called Seinfeld Adventure: The Video Game About Nothing. You play as either Jerry, George, or Elaine, but never Kramer since Kramer 🍷can never be controlled. Womp womp.

Each episode of the game plays out exactly like an episode of Seinfeld: the story is told in three acts, with Jerry, George, and Elaine𓄧's story in♔terweaving to tell a humorous tale of woe for three New York residents.

Here’s𓆏 the tentative plot to Episode 1: The Email.

Jerry is dating a publicist who accidentally reveals his email address to Kenny Bania through a group email. Now Bania fills Jerry’s inbox with a flurry of spam emails asking for feedback on his new stand-up set. Jerry decides to break up with the publicist over this, but he doesn’t want to deal with the interaction face-to-face. Kramer suggests ending the relationship via email and avoiding it altogether. Jerry does this before Elaine reminds him that the publicist was supposed to get them all tickets to the opening night of the new movie “Rochelle, Rochelle 2”. George devises a plan to corrupt Jerry’s girlfriend’s computer before she can read her emails so that they can still collect the tickets. Kramer says he knows who can help. Someone with a sworn vendetta against email. Someone who has devoted their whole life to analog mail and sees email as a threat to his livelihood. Someo♔ne named Newman.

We should be clear that this is not yet a game but actually an elaborate pitch to create the game🦂. Neither Jacob nor Ivan has secured any sort of license from Larry David or Jerry Seinfeld (or whoever still owns the rights to the show). But it is a great way to test the waters and determine if this sort of thing would actually work as a game.

If you like the idea, show your support by tweeting about the game on social media and checking out th💙e official pitch website. If everything goes well, then Jacob and Ivan find a publisher or just use Kickstarter to fund development.
