The Seoul Dynasty recently announced former Vancouver Titans' main-support Sung-jun "SLIME" Kim as the newest addition to their 2ꦺ020 roster. This news comes after the Titans purged their entire team the week before. Slime didn't rec♔eive any playtime in Seoul's recent 3-0 loss to the Chengdu Hunters but should see action for the Dynasty soon enough.
The Vancouver Titans led the 2019 season with a record of 25-3 before falling to the San Francisco Shock in the Grand Finals. ඣAll eyes were on a Titans team stacked with talent heading into 2020. Unfortunately, the redemption arc fell short as a fallout between the organization and players led to the entire roster parting ways. With players like Slime, Vancouver was loaded with top players who will more than likely find places on other teams moving forward.
Slime became the ဣfirst former Titan player to secure another roster spot by joining the Seoul Dynasty. The Dynasty looked in top form at the beginning of the season after some key off-season pick ups, but have since drastically under-performed and sit with a middling 4-4 record. Something needs to click with Seoul and Slime might be the missing piece the team desperately needs. He didn't get a shot against the Hunters, but another poor performance from the Dynasty like that, and he might have to step up soon.
It was a horrible situation all around for the former Vancouver Titans players as many of them have been playing together for the majority of their professional Overwatch careers. Fans might not have the chance to see them all play together again, but they were all incredibly talented players and most of them should have no problems in finding other teams. Time will tell how much of an impact Slime will actually have for the Seoul Dynasty. Either way, the Dynasty have added an incredible talent that♕ deserves a spot in the league.
