After announcing the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Overwatch League would be cancelling all their live events and moving to an online format for the imminent future, the league took to YouTube in a special Watchpoint detailing the plans for the league going forward. After a break in week six to get things settled,ꦚ the league will return this upcoming weekend and the Seoul Dynasty will make their 2020 season debut as they face the San Francisco Shock in the first online match for the league.
The Seoulꦡ Dynasty are one of five teams that still haven't played a match--alongside the four Chinese teams--due to the global outbreak of the CoronaVirus. Originally, only the initial Chinese homestands were cancelled and plans to play in Seoul were put in place. Then the Seoul Dynasty homestand was cancel. Now that the United States is in the midst of an outbreak, all homestands for at least the rest of March and the entirety of April will be cancelled.
The 🦩Overwatch League matches will take place between t꧙eams of similar regions to help alleviate some of the issues that might arise with online play. The plan is for the league to continue online for at least the rest of March and April and they will reevaluate the situation of homestands once they get to that point. To compensate for being behind with matches, there will also be matches played on some Fridays to help get all the teams to the same amount of matches once the end of April rolls around.
With the NBA season postponed and live sports affected by the pandemic going on, esports have the distinct advantage of being able to be played online instead of having to suspend the season 🤡all together. What's impressive is the quick response by the Overwatch League to not only continue the season in a safe manner but also help catch up those teams that have lagged behind in matches due to early cancellations. The Overwatch League isn't going anywhere anytime soon, but fans will still be able to cheer for their favorite teams going forward.
