The casting of Chris Pratt as Mario in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been showered with critique ever since Nintendo announced who will be playing who in the film. Seth Rogen as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Donkey Kong, however, was a casting decision everyone just seemed to accept. Nintendo fans even appear to be okay with Rogen revealing his DK voice is simply his own, something some of you may have gleaned from his brief appearances in the movie's trailers.

Rogen spoke with (thanks, ) ahead of the Mario movie's big arrival next week, revealing that he made it very clear to all involved that if they wanted him as Donkey Kong then he was going to use his own voice for the role. “I was very clear, I don’t do voices. And if you want me to be in this movie, it’s gonna sound like me and that’s it. And that was the beginning and end of that conversation,” Rogen Revealed.

Rogen added that all you really need to know about DK is that he throws barrels and doesn't like Mario very much. Sort of true, but those of us who have been playing the ape's games for decades will likely want a little more from the movie version. DK does appear to have a prominent role in the film, and best of all, even though Rogen has simply used his own voice, it actually fits the character pretty well, even if it isn't 100 percent spot on.

Rogen is joined by Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, and as already mentioned, Pratt as Mario. That's the one that has had some of you up in arms for months. The first listen of Pratt's Mario we got certainly didn't help things, especially when dubbed versions of the movie's debut trailer included what some perceived to be better takes on Mario's voice.

Back to Donkey Kong and Rogen admitted he would be very open to reprising the role if the character were to get their own spin-off. That seems very likely as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the project has already been rumored and Nintendo has confirmed it's working on a Donkey Kong-themed expansion for Super Nintendo World in Japan.
