Seven Doors - from indie developer and publisher Indigo Studios - Interactive Storౠies - is an upcoming first-person puzzler that retro🔜 fans (or those just in need of some nostalgia) will want to be sure to keep an eye on.

In a brand-new reveal trailer, Seven Doors’ atmospheric gameplay and puzzles𝔍 are shown off, revealing a dark, mysterious, and nostalgia-inspired trek through a giant labyrinth-like mansion tꦫhat is highly reminiscent of early PC puzzle and exploration titles.

The premise of Seven Doors is pretty straightforward. Players enter the first door and are met with a specific challenge that needs to be solved. They must then repeat this same thing six more times. How𒐪ever, each of the areas behind the seven doors provides a different atmosphere and different puzzle. Each puzzle will require a different type of logic in order to be solved - such as deciphering different languages, hunting for keys, or even playing in a giant chess match - which should offer up plenty of variety in terms of gameplay.

“We believe tha🅠t the future, even beyond video games, is new r✨ealities, distinctly wonderful and appealing, in which you can feel from the he༺at of the desert to the cold of winter, in which you can smell from a garden rose to a dusty old book,” stated Indigo Studios - Interactive Stories ✅in a press rel🤪ease.

“Realities created by the most creative and surprising minds. Obviously, there is still a long way to go before we reach this point. But Indigo Studios will do everything possible, from our studio, to try to bring the player closer to that experience. There’s a reason why our strong point is the stওories, the music, and the atmosphere.”

The most striking thing about Seven Doors is its visuals. At first glance, the graphics look to be a bit dated. However, as the trailer goesꦦ on, it becomes pretty apparent that those retro-styled graphics are part of the🌠 game’s charm; reminiscent of early atmospheric and somewhat spooky and unsettling puzzle/logic games on PC such as the Myst series.

The seven areas of the game will include:

  • The Empty Library
  • The Enigma of Chaos
  • The Museum of Soulless Men
  • The Gallery of Framed Dreams
  • The Hall of Tragic Fate
  • The Secret of the Pharaoh
  • The Last Game

Overall, players can expect two to three hours worth of gameplay, with an a🌄tmospheric soundtrack that fits well witꦗhin each specific level.

Seven Doors is s𒀰lated for a June 26th release on PC via Steam.
