Don’t worry though, because Ratalaika Games is here with the ultimate cathartic experience: Shadow of Loot Box, which is coming to consoles.

This one launched on earlier this year. If you checked it out, you’ll know the basic premise: it’s a retro-tastic blocky FPS that pokes fun at everything we find objectionable about the industry. For one thing, it features a whole heckin’ heap of loot boxes as enemies, which run around on gangly legs like the Mimics of Final Fantasy fame. It’s far more satisfying to blast away at hordes of th♛🧸ese things than it probably has any right to be.

It’s like each loot box dispatched is striking another blow for snarky justice. There’🔯s much more to it, too. Every level of this brief adventure is focused on satirizing a different questionable element of modern gaming, from surgically removing content to sell as DLC later to frame rate issues (performance is intentionally terrible at times,🍃 so as to hammer this point home).

As you can surely see, big-budget stuff like this is not. Shadow of Loot Box costs♍ just £3.99 on (just over $5), and you’re looking at about a two-hour experience for the price. If you’re curious🅷 about the premise but haven’t tried it out yet, how about giving the upcoming Nintendo Switch (or your system of choice) edition a shot?

As reports, the quirky little title doesn’t have♍ a set eShop release date yet. It’s aiming to𓄧 launch in time for the holidays, though, and is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One around that time.
