creator Matt Bozon has expresse⭕d interest in turning the half-genie hero into an animated series.
It's fair to say Shantae is one of the biggest independent video game franchises. Starring in five games across 18 years, Shantae has danced her way into the hearts of many. The games offer up plenty of side-scrolling action, and large maps to explore. Her latest game, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, released in late May to positive fan reception.
WayForward hyped Seven Sirens as Shantae's "biggest game to date." It𝕴 certainly achieved that in different ways. It introduced other half-genie heroes, adding more world-building to the 18-year-old series. Also, for the first time, there were animated cutscenes. Not💯 only that, but anime company Studio Trigger created an intro. With all this, many fans have been desiring a full-fledged Shantae animated series. Players will be happy to know Shantae's creators express the same sentiment.
In an interview with , Shantae creator Matt Bozon talked about Seven Sirens' development, the franchise's popularity, and more. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the subject of an animated series came up. Bozon says he andℱ his fellow Shantae creator and wife, Erin Bozon, would like to see an animated serie🌌s.
"Erin really wants to keep exploring Shantae as an animated series, and I’m all for that, too. After that Studio TRIGGER intro it feels like it’s closer than ever. Why doesn’t the cartoon keep playing? Why does it end?"
In a separate interview with , Bozon was asked about what's remaining on a "Shantae bucket list." He responded, "At this point, the fans have spoken—Shantae needs an anime." Although an animated series is not confirmed to be happening anytime soon, Bozon says WayForward has "been in discussion with several companies" for new Shantae merchandise. Those looking to purchase an inexpensive Shantae figure can 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:pick up the Totaku sometime this year.
A Shantae animated/anime series would be welcome. The Arabian-like locale of Scuttle Town would make for a unique setting. The games' lore and pirate enemy in Risky Boots have plenty of potential. Plus, Seven Sirens' larger cast of half-g🎃enies would be excellent supporting characters for a show. Time will tell if Shantae will be dancing her way onto the television in the future. Meanwhile, WayForward will be present at New Game+ Expo later this month. Could the company have something in store for Shantae, another one of its franchises, or perhaps a new IP? Either way, it's a good time to be a fan.
