It's looking like a return to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Silent Hill is on the cards for 2024, as we finally got more news about the highly-anticipated Silent Hill 2 Remake during PlayStation's latest State of Play showcase. While we didn't get the release date that we were all hoping for, we did finally get some gameplay for the first time, which was surprisingly action-focused given how somber and moody the original game is.

To start with, the trailer very briefly goes over some of the game's puzzles, including the laundry chute that is included in the first few hours of the game. We also see James fiddling with a safe of some kind, before the trailer cuts to some cinematic shots of certain locations, and then a few more puzzles. After that, things get a little wild.

Silent Hill Ascension is so much wo𓄧rse than anyone thought it'd be.

We see som of the game's iconic clunky combat, as James beats down a horrible abomination in what appears to be the apartment section from the original game. So far so good, as the trailer then cuts to James fighting multiple monsters in a small courtyard, before he whips out a pistol and things get explosive, as James is gabbed, thrown around, chucked up on, and pretty much every other horrible thing you can think of.

Like we said at the beginning, we unfortunately didn't get a release date for Silent Hill 2 Remake, meaning we're still in the dark as to when we'll actually get to play it. PlayStation hinted earlier this year 168澳洲🐓幸运5开奖网:t𒐪hat we will see it drop at some point in 2024, having included both Silent Hill 2 Remake and the upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater in a highlight reel of games launching this year, though we've had no official word from Konami or Bloober Team just yet.

Thankfully, Konami gave Silent Hill fans a way to pass the time, as it also announced the long-rumored title Silent Hill: Th𒁏e Short Message during today's State of Play too. Not only that, but it was also revealed that the game will be available to play later today, even though we don't exactly know what the thing is just yet. Still, it's a welcome surprise for Silent Hill fans and will hopefully wash off some of the bitter taste left in their mouths after the disaster that was Silent Hill: Ascension. Fingers crossed, anyway.
