However, if you thought things were rough on these streets before, then you may be surprised to see how bad they've gotten since you last walked them.

This guide is all about helping you work your way𒁃 through these mean streets while showing you where to find all the healing items, ammo, and everything else worth noting about the South Vale At Night section of Silent Hill 2.

Things start off with a bang in this section of South Vale. Literally. In the area outside the Brookhaven Hospital, you’ll find an exploding Lying Figure to your left. There is Handgun Ammo in the car it slithers out from under. Across from the hospital, there are two Bubble Head Nurses next to a crashed ambulance (you should see the red light from a distance). In the Ambulance you’ll find a Health Drink and a Syringe. Finally, there is a mannequin to the right of Brookhaven's entrance, hiding next to a truck. There is Handgun Ammo nꦜear that Mannequin. There is one more nurse as you approach the door to the next area.

The skittering beetle-like Creepers are all over this section of the game. I'm only going to specifically mention them if there is a high concentration of them, as they are everywhere. Be on your guard, and listen for the skittering sound they make.

Once you enter through the door, there is a mannequin to your left. To your right, you’ll find ammo in the car. There is also a Lying Figure up ahead. Head down the alley left of the door you entered through, and you’ll reach a garage with two mannequins in it. Once you clear them out, grab the Shotgun Shells and Handgun Ammo.

Now, continue to the garage opposite the door you entered into this are from. There is Handgun Ammo in the locker. You'll also find a nurse, a Mannequin, and multiple Creepers. The room with the nurse has more Handgun Ammo. In this room there is a breakable section of wall. Enter through it, and in the next room collect the Handgun Ammo and Syringe.

Entering through the hole in the 🦂wall will cause a cave in behind you, making it impossible to 🦋go back.

In the next area there are two Mannequins hiding and one nurse. There is Handgun Ammo in the alley to the right. Move the bin on the left in front of the gate and hop over. In the next area, there's a nurse dead ahead: kill her. Now, get the ammo that's sitting on the truck's tire. There is Handgun Ammo on the porch to your left. There is another Bubble Head Nurse and a Lying Figure patrolling the area. There’s a Health Drink in the car in front of the diner.

In the dinner there is a nurse, Lying Figure, and Mannequin. There are shotgun shells behind the counter and Handgun Ammo on a table. There is a nurse and a two Lying Figures, and a mannequin outside the dinner. In the corner, behind the bus, you’ll find Handgun Ammo and shotgun shells.

The car outside Lakeside Dinner has Handgun Ammo. There is a health drink on one of the porches, and Handgun Ammo on another, and a syringe on another. Follow Laura through a tunnel. On the other side, you’ll find a camper. There is ammo and a save spot inside this caravan. Across from the camper, in a nook, there is Handgun Ammo. On your right is the pharmacy. There is a Health Drink and a Syringe inside. There is also a Bubble Head Nurse and a Mannequin waiting for you inside. Wait for the Nurse to leave on her﷽ own accord and fight her in the street.

Continue forward until you hit the fence with a hole in it. Before you hit the fence, you will encounter another Bubble Head Nurse. Once you move through the hole in the fence, you'll see a Lying Figure in the distance. Watching out, as there will be a Mannequin around the corner waiting to ambush you.

Once you take them out, you’ll find Handgun Ammo on the pallet of wood. Enter into the Happy Burger diner. There will be Handgun Ammo near the entrance. Inside the dining area, there are two Nurses and a Mannequin. Once you clear them out, you’ll find Shotgun Shells on a nearby table and more Handgun Ammo on a seat in the corner.

Climb through one of the windows, and you will be in a back area with a parked bus and a parked truck, there is one Lying Figure and two Mannequins hiding somewhere around here. There is Handgun Ammo in one of the cars near the Happy Burger, in the northwest corner of Neeley St, and on the porch of the building across from the Happy Burger. You’ll also find a Health Drink in the truck.

Enter into the open build across from the bar, and you can grab Handgun Ammo from a chair, and a Health Drink from the first aid kit on the wall. You can break through the wall near the back. Enter through this hole, and you will need to fight a Mannequin, Lying Figure, and a Nurse. There are two boxes of Shotgun Shells and Handgun Ammo lying around here as your prize.

Now, enter Neely’s Bar. There is Handgun Ammo behind the counter and a nostalgic-looking map on top of it. You’ll find Shotgun Shells in a cubby in the back room and a Health Drink in the bathroom. Outside of Neely's Bar, there is Handgun Ammo on a table, Shotgun Shells in the car, and a Health Drink sitting on a garbage ca༒n further down the aꦆlley.

There are also two Mannequins hiding somewhere. Work your way to the end of the alley and climb in through the window. In this room you’ll find Handgun Ammo in the desk drawer and a Health Drink in the display case. Enter through the hole, and you’ll have to fight two nurses and a Mannequin. There is Handgun Ammo sitting on a bench.

Exit through the window and you will hear a phone ringing. Go answer it. Once the cutscene plays out, you will get a note telling you to go find a key. You’ll also get a wrench. You can find Handgun Ammo in a truck and outside the Grand Market. There is also a Strange Photo in the car opposite the Grand Market.

There is a Health Drink in Big Jay’s (you have to smash the vending machine’s front glass to get it), Shotgun Shells in the police car. A Syringe outside “Quiet Cocktails” building, as well as Handgun Ammo in the boutique beside it. At the end ofඣ the street, enter through the open door. Head into the🦋 wide open area, save. In the next area, you will need to cross over an area with a mesh floor. Underneath, clinging to the mesh, there is a new monster type that has been teased before: the Mandarin.

These creatures clinging to the bottom of the meshing and attack you from below. You can kill them by attacking their strange, lip-like hands, but they can be hard to put down. You are better off running straight past them.

You will now be in the garden again. There are no items here, nor are there any enemies. Just head for the statue. You’ll talk to Laura and then get the key. Leave the park, and you will find that there isn’t an enemy in sight. You can get a health drink and some Handgun Ammo by looting the area around gas station.

If you missed it the first time around, when you were in this area with Maria, you can also get the carjack and enter into the mechanic's shop next to the park. There is a large cache of ammo as well as a Syringe inside the garage. There is also another Strange Photo found inside. Similarly, you can explore the bowling alley again. This will be your last chance to grab anything yo⛄u missed in this part of South Vale, so make sure to explore it before you move on.
