The long wait and online sleuthing are finally over, as Behavior Interactive today revealed that Chapter 16 in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead by Daylight will be based on the iconic horror video game license 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Silent Hill, featuring Pyramid Head, The Executioner, as the new killer, Cheryl Mason as the new survivor🐼, and Midwich Elementary School as the setting of the next map.
Welcome To Silent Hill
When Behavior Interactive first announced that we would be seeing an iconic horror license brought to the fog, few would have thought it could be from the terrifying world of Silent Hill. The s▨urvival horror series first began in 1999 on the Sony PlayStation, where players took control of protagonist Harry Mason as he tried to find his missing, adopted daughter in the town of Silent Hill. Soon Mason finds himself investigating a cult and dark, other worldly terrors as he learns the truth about his daughter. Since then, the series has spawned several sequels, spin offs, and even film adaptations.
The Executioner – Pyramid Head Arrives To Serve The Entity
Of all the characters that players face in the Silent Hill series, Pyramid Head is the most iconic and recurring challenge of them all. As Pyramid Head has appeared in several titles, Behavior Interactive has decided to bring to Dead by Daylight the killer based on the character from Silent Hill 2, which served as the main antagonist to James Sunderland, and a symbolic representation of J💫ames’ ongoing need to be punished for the death of his l♐ate wife. Now, Pyramid Head is here to continue acting as judge of the survivor’s guilt, and it looks like no one deserves to be spared!
Pyramid Head Powers And Abilities – An Early Look
We were extremely fortunate to speak with Game Director Mathieu Côté and Creative Director Dave Richard last week to learn more about how Pyramid Head is designed to sacrifice over-confidant survivors to the Entity. It is important t🌺o note that the information relayed during the interview is subject to change, especially as the Public Test Build opens today and will be used over the next three weeks to 🌜test and tune the killer.
As expected, Pyrami🃏d Head carries with him a heavy, Great Knife that can be used to injure and put survivors into the dying state. Apart from basic attacks, Dave Richard described how the Great Knife has a special attack range, in which the killer draws upon dark forces and can hurl the weapon short di๊stances through collisions and walls to hit survivors. At first this may sound like the Huntress on steroids, but the range of this attack is limited, and Dave Richard explained how there will be a brief moment in which survivors will have the opportunity to dodge the incoming attack, making for great mind games.
Pyramid Head’s special power is by far one of the most fascinating released into the game to date, whereby the Great Knife can be firmly planted into the ground and dragged to create special trenches throughout the map. Surꦍvivors will need to think carefully and move deliberately, weight risk and reward, as stepping into and across this trench instead of going around will give them the killer status “Tormented”. Once a player is in the dying state, Pyramid Head will no🍃t have to go through the normal game flow of grabbing, transporting, and hooking the survivor. Instead, the new killer can trigger the sacrifice sequence on the spot, sending players to the Cage of Atonement, that serves as a hook but is triggered on the spot.
In addition, when a player has the Tormented status, the Executioner can kill a survivor on the spot, as sort of a mini-Mori, called “The Final Judgement”. Without a doubt, Pyramid Head is going to make a fantastic addition to the killer roster in Dead by Daylight!
New Survivor – Cheryl Mason
There is no character from the Silent Hill series better suited to be a survivor in Dead by Daylight than Cheryl Mason, daughter of Harry Mason from the first game, and the untainted half of Alessa Gillespie's soul, which split during Alessa's ritualistic immolation by the Order ꧂to birth the God.
New Map - Midwich Elementary School
Setting the new map in Midwich Elementary School comes as no real surprise given that the location is an impღortant and recurring space in the series, and one of the first locations where players arrive in search of answers, only to be transported to the demonic, other worldly reality. We asked Dave Richard how this other worldliness would be represented, and he stated that there would be a good amount of each world throughout the map, which features an indoor and outdoor area, two stories, and several Easter Eggs from the series.
The Public Test Build is now live on Steam, and the contཧent will formally launch on PC and consoles on June 16. Be sure to dive into the action, and we will see yo൩u in the fog!
