Don’t Expect Much From This Pl♌ayStation State Of Play
Sta♏te of Plays are smaller than showcases, and if you're looking for anything more than Final Fantasy 16, you might be disappointed
For those who don't know what The Short Message is, here's a Silent Hill history lesson for you. Just before Konami announced that it was going to be bringing back Silent Hill in a big way with a new game, 🦂a remake of Silent Hill 2, and a whole lot more, ꦓleaked concept art for a game called Silent Hill: The S꧃hort Message was discovered.
The concept art showed a girl exploring what appeared𒐪 to be an apartment complex of sorts that was covered in post-it notes with abusive messages on them and weird flowers that linked to another tit🌞le for what was assumed to be a demo - Project Sakura. Despite leaking and then getting an age rating before the Silent Hill♏ presentation, The Short Message was completely missing in action and was considered cancelled.
Even after being considered cancelled, The Short Message still some♊how kept gettingও leaked, confusing fans even more.
Well, after a long time of fans thinking🃏 that Silent Hill: The Short Message had been cancelled or lef൩t behind, Konami has finally decided to reveal it with a trailer that debuted at the State of Play. Just like the concept art showed, the game seems to focus on a young girl who is either dealing with bullying (hence the post-it-notes) or responsible for it. Knowing Silent Hill, it's probably the latter.
Not too much was revealed about the game beyond the fact it appears to be in first-person (cough PT cough), but if you were interested in it in the slightest The name implies that it's closer to a demo, but it'll be an interesting look into the future of Silent Hill either way.
