The character of Alessa Gillespie is central to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Silent Hill and the machinationꦫs of the Order, a fanatical religious organization in Silent Hill. She was born and raised in the cult and ultimately used in a ritual to birth the cult’s God that wasn’t suc🦄cessful, resulting in her splitting her soul in two and the creation of the Otherworld.
Despite Silent Hill being infused with a lot of lore, the majority of it is inferred through the items and memos you find rather than being told outright 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:by expository dialogue. As a result, it can be easy ꧑to miss a lot of the subtle details, e🌌specially on a first playthrough. Similar to the main character, Harry Mason, you’re unaware of Alessa and the cult’s history.
Alessa’s Childhood
Prior to the events of Silent Hill, Dahlia Gillespie, a member of the Order, gave birth to a daughter who she n꧙amed Alessa.
Sadly, Alessa had a difficult childhood, suffering abuse at the hands of her mother, t༒he Order, and her classmates at Midwich Elementary School, who bullied Alessa because of her supernatural abilities. This is shown in Siꦗlent Hill as Harry sees Alessa’s desk in Midwich Elementary School graffitied with “drop dead” and “go home.”
Dahlia indoctrinated her daughter Alessa into the Order from a young age, teaching her about the organization’s faith and belief i෴n a world without sin.
It’s unknown where Alessa&rsqu꧋o;s supernatural abilities came from; however, her abilities are most likely why she was chosen by the Order to be a surrogate mother and give birth to their “God,&rdqu🐼o; thus ushering in the arrival of Paradise.
The Ritual
During t🐷he ritual meant to impregnate Alessa with the cult’s God, a fire broke out, severely injuri๊ng Alessa in the process.
A memo in Silent Hill states that the fire was believed to have been “caused by ma♏lfunction of [an] antiquated boile💧r,” but the Order likely used this as a cover-up.
It’s uncertain whether Alessa was intentionally burned in the ritual, or if the boiler explosion caused it. It’s possible that Alessa caused the explosion with her abilities, desperate to escape the ritual and accidentally burned heꦏrself in the pr💯ocess.
Alessa used her abilities to split her soul in two to stop the resurrection of the God. One-half of Alessa’s soul remained in her body in Silent Hill, incapacitated in Alchemilla Hospital’s basement, looked after by Lisa Garland. The Order tasked Lisa with keeping Alessa alive, with Kaufmann blackmailing Lisa with the 🌠drug PTV.
A diary written by Lisa states that she was put in charge of a patient (Alessa) by Kaufmann, who remained alive despite having wounds that wouldn’t heal - this is most likely a result of the God fetus inside Alessa, which fed on her nightmares. In✱ fact, despite the Order&rsq🏅uo;s ritualistic desires not coming to fruition, they preserved Alessa’s body to one day reunite the two halves of her soul and complete the ritual.
The God fetus inside Alessa, combined with her supernatural abilities, made her nightmares during her coma come to life. This 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:resulted in the Otherworld, which contains manifestations of Alessa’s fears. The Double Heads, for example, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:represent Alessa’s fear of dogs, as well as her soul split in two.
The other half of Alessa became a baby adopted by Harry and his wife after being discovered on the side of the road. Ha🎃rry and his wife named this baby Cheryl.
Beginning Of Silent Hill
Seven years later, Harry visits Silent Hill at the request of his daughter. It turns out she had been called there to reunite the two halves of their souls. When Harry and Che📖ryl arrive in the town, Alessa astral projects in front of the car, causing Harry to swerve and crash it. After Harry awakens, he discovers that Cheryl i🌜s missing and sets off into the town to find her.
Harry follows the apparitions of Cheryl (perhaps produced by A🐽lessa). He also finds clue🌜s on paper, ripped from Cheryl’s sketchbook, urging him to visit important locations in Silent Hill, such as the school.
When seeing Dahlia for𓄧 theܫ second time, she purposefully misleads Harry to benefit her own goal, telling him that the symbol he has seen around town is the mark of Samael, a crest that must not be completed.
In actuality, the crest is the Seal of Metatron that Alessa is using to destroy the town and herself in the process, hoping t🐟o eradicate the cult’s God.
The Birth Of The God
At the end of🧜 the game, Harry again meets with Dahlia, who informs Harry that his daughter has reunited with the other part of her soul, becoming Alessa. Dahlia is standing next toꦇ Alessa’s physical body, which is covered in bandages and in a wheelchair, and Alessa’s astral projection.
Alessa’s physical body a🎃nd astral projection combine into one being shrouded in bright white light.
The Good and Good+ endings have Kaufmann dowse Alessa with the vial of Agla🐎ophotis, purging the “God” from her body. The God kills Dahlia, and Harry attacks it, ultimately resulting in its defeat.
The reborn version of Alessa/Cheryl appears in Alessa’s arms, and she gives the baby to Harry. The Otherworld begins to collapse as Harry (and Cybil in the Good+ ending) escapes. Alessa, using the last of her abilities, helps Harry b𒀰y giving him th♏e time needed to escape.
The original version of Alessa is left behind in flames, but a part of her soul lives on in the baby, who grows up to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:become Heather Mason.
A Tragic Figure
Despite A🍸lessa being the conduit for Silent Hill’s Otherworld, she’s not a malicious antagonist by any means. She’s a result of tragic circumstances at the hands of Dahl🦂ia and the Order.
She was an innocent child used by the cult for their benefit, and all she wanted was a normal relationship with her mother. As a child, she begs Dahlia, “Oh, but Mommy, I jus♋t want to be with you. Just two of us. Please understand.”
At the conclusion of Silentꦺ Hill, Alessa’s reborn soul can fulfill her dream of growing up without the cult’s influence as Harry’s daughter.
