When a lightbulb flickers or you get a random text in the mi꧃ddl✅e of the night, it's normal to get scared. But if Hideo Kojima had his way, things like that would've become day-to-day occurrences for you.
, the cancelled Silent Hills would've done various spooky garbage to you at any point of the day. Lights flickering? Strange emails? Your PlayStation suddenly getting filled with strange dashboard changes? That's not a ghost - that's Hideo Kojima, pulling the same shenanigans he has since his early da💫ys in the industry.
This stuff sounds pretty gimmicky, but knowing Kojima, people would've probably gone nuts over it and lavished the whole thing with praise. No doubt, it would've been a pretty wild game had it ever come to fruition. That said, it makes sense that Konami pulled the plug on the project - the whole thing sounds like a pretty costly endeavor, and with the unfinished state Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain got left in, ꦯthe company probably d🅠idn't have that sort of budget in them.
This, then, is yet another weird piece of trivia to emerge from the most publicized cancelled game of the past decade - and perhaps of all time. No doubt this would've been a bold new direction for Silent Hill, a franchise whose last big title was a Vita-exclusive Diablo clone. Hope🦋fully, though, the rumored new game can satiate us all whenever it actually comes out.
