A new life stage was added to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Sims 4, infants. Between babies and toddlers, infants bridge the gap between an immobile object and a full-fledged tiny Sim. Much like real-life babies, infants need a lot of care and attention from your Sim to help them grow. There are six traits exclusive to infants that will determine how your Sim's infant needs to be cared for.
Paired with the release of the Growing Together expansion pack, there are some features involving infants that are only included in the pack, but all infant traits are available for base game players. Whether you're looking for a trait that will make your infant a little easier to handle, or if you want a child that will give you more of a challenge, this list will help you pick which trait best suits your gameplay.
6 Calm
Infants can be a lot of work for your Sim, and if they 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:don't have the simoleons to hire a nanny, you could soon have two Sims that need attention at the same time. Having a calm infant means that your little Sim will be more relaxed, as calm infants enjoy laying down and watching the world around them. They won't cry as often, or get frustrated from spending two hours on their play mat, making it easier for them to spend more time building up their skills.
However, because calm infants are so peaceful, it means they could spend all day daydreaming in one spot and not doing much else. Calm infants will fall asleep faster, but won't want to give up a relaxing day in the crib for learning how to crawl, so your Sim will have to help them explore the world.
5 Cautious
Much like calm infants, cautious infants won't want to get up and explore the world around them. Not because they're content admiring it, but because they're afraid of it. Cautious infants like what they know, and are more reluctant to try new foods, meet new Sims, and go to new places. If your Sim is feeding their cautious infant pumpkin purée for the first time, they'll have to go through the interaction a few times before convincing the infant to give the food a try.
If you have a social Sim with a lot of friends, their cautious infant will have a hard time with social interactions and going on visits to others houses. Cautious infants will need a lot more hand-holding to reach their milestones, but as long as they have a familiar Sim by their side, they'll get the hang of it.
4 Intense
If you're looking for a challenge when it comes to raising an infant, it would be the intense trait. Intense infants have big emotions, both good and bad. They're easier to make happy with positive interactions and fun toys, but when they're upset, they are a lot harder to calm down.
Intense infants will have a hard time going to bed or learning new skills, as they very easily become frustrated and devolve into tantrums. If an intense infant becomes unhappy when your Sim is trying to teach them how to crawl, your Sim will likely have to wait until the next day for their infant to be ready to try again. When you play with an intense infant, make sure your Sim has the extra time needed to calm these infants down, like having your Sim in a career that lets them 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:work from home.
3 Sensitive
Sensitive infants need some extra attention compared to other infants. They are more likely to get diaper rash and less likely to enjoy certain foods, and while your Sim needs to keep an eye on them, sensitive infants can easily become overstimulated by too much attention. If your Sim tries spending the day teaching their infant how to talk, it'll quickly overwhelm and upset them, and they'll need a moment to collect themselves.
Your Sim will need to find the right balance to take care of their sensitive infant, making sure that they have what they like in the 🔯amount that they like it in. As a benefit, sensitive infants are more likely to sleep peacefully through the night - as long as your Sim makes sure to soothe them to sleep.
2 Sunny
Sunny infants are the happiest of the six traits, constantly smiling and laughing. They also enjoy interacting with other Sims, meaning they're the most eager to learn how to talk, so they can start making new friends. Their love of social interaction means their social need drops quicker than other infants, and they quickly become lonely if they don't have someone to talk to.
Sunny infants are generally happier than intense infants, but they need just as much attention to keep their sunny demeanor up. They're the clingiest of the infants and are sad if they haven't interacted with their favorite Sim in a while. If you're playing with a big family, then a sunny infant with plenty of Sims to give them attention would fit in perfectly. Maybe even a set of sunny twins, who could keep each other constantly entertained.
1 Wiggly
It's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a big Sim world out there, and wiggly infants are ready to find it. Out of all the other infant traits, wiggly infants are the most likely to be the first to crawl, as they're the most excited to move. In fact, they're so excited, that it may be difficult for you and your Sim to keep track of them. A baby-proofing option was added to the door-locking menu, which will help keep an infant trying to explore safely in one place.
They'll always be looking to play with other Sims or with their toys, but wiggly infants are easily distracted and will often grow bored with trying to learn how to talk if something interesting is on TV. Wiggly Sims have a hard time paying attention, and an even harder time falling asleep, often needing a few lullabies before they're ready to doze off.
