World of Warcraft players have found themselves in a bit of a dilemma recently. The reason being the 9.1 Chains of Domination patch for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands and the Burning Crusade expansion for World of Warcraft Classic. The issue is that both of these are currently overlapping and might lau𒅌nch at the same time, forcing players to choose which to play first.
However, Blizzard has come out and clarified that⛄ players will not have to decide between the two. The company has in the past ensured that any content rollout is reasonably spread out, however, it seems that Blizzard may have to hold back on one of the betas to avoid ꧙any conflict.
The issue was directly addressed by World of Warcraft game director Ion Hazzikostas in an interview with LingHunFuSཧu (via ), where he said, “Well obviously we will have more information to announce about specific release dates for Burning Crusade Classic and for Chains of Domination. I can tell you that it's very unlikely that we're going to release both of those right at the same time, we know there are many players who would like to experience both. They're very different projects in terms of their testing needs, and we need to begin t🐓he PTR or the Beta at the appropriate time to give the teams working on those games all the time and all the feedback they need to ensure a good outcome.”
“So, while we want to avoid too much collision between the two, we also understand that there are many players who only play Classic, and t🌱here are many players who only play Shadowlands, and we don't want to punish one group in order to avoid a conflict for the other, while still trying to make sure that each game has some time and space to breathe on its own,” he continued.
Hazzikostas did not mention any spec🍃ific release dates for either of the updates, but in a conducted by WoWHead, fans wanted to see the release of 9.1 Chain🦂s of Domination patch for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands first. It won with over 70% of the votes with over 13,000 voting.
