Warframe got started as a PC game wa🃏y back in 2013 and even though it’s since migrated to every major console system (including the Nintendo Switch), PC players have always enjoyed a special place among Warframe’s many platforms. That’s mo⛎stly because Digital Extremes never needed to submit the PC version of Warframe for certification, allowing them to release updates on PC faster than anywhere else.
But that might be changing fairly soon. Digꩲital Extremes Chief Operating Officer Sheldon Carter told our very🅰 own Cian Mayer that they plan to start releasing major updates simul🤪taneously acro𒆙ss all platforms starting sometime next year.
"Earlier this year we did 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Heart of Deimos and - kind of even prepping for next gen - we did a simultaneous release just to see how that would feel for us as a team,” Carter said. “It’s not so much a thing about the next generation consoles, it’s more just about us being readyꦜ to do that on a more regular basis. That is our goal for sure, we know that’s what all the players want. Everybody wants to play the same content at the same time, so that’s a high goal for us for 2021."
Whಌile it’s nice that everyone playing Warframe will get to play ꦡnew content at the same time, there was a major advantage to releasing updates on PC before anywhere else. If a bug showed up in the PC version, it could be fixed before the update went live on PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch versions.
Sonꦗy’s PlayStation 5 is getting the lion’s share of Digital Extremes’ attenti🦋on these days, but an upgraded version for the Xbox Series X is also in the world. PC players shouldn’t worry about totally losing their special status, though. Any new features that show up on next-gen consoles will be available on PC too.
