You never thought you'd live to see the day, but everything's pointing to it – we may finally get a proper launch date for Skull & Bones. Ubisoft's pirate game was in the doldrums for a few years, when it looked like the project would ultimately sink, but development seems to have found a second wind. After last week's news that the game may be getting a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:re-reveal next month, it has now received an ESRB rating.
According to the , Skull & Bones is described as "a naval-combat action ✃game in which players assume the role of a shipwrecked outcast on a journey to become a pirate captain. As players take on missions, they can explore settlements and engage in dramatic sea battles. From a first-person perspective, players command their crew to shoot can🗹nons at rivals (e.g., warships, merchant ships, settlements/forts) in attempts to obtain loot/goods."
The game has received an 'M' rating, for mature audiences, as it features, "Blood, Strong Language, Suggestive Themes, Use of Drugs, Violence". Additionally, the game will also feature instances of drug trading and sex workers. So, basically a pirate's life.
The description does get a bit gorey in order to emphasize the mature rating, saying "Enemy ships can be rammed and boarded, resulting in brief cutscenes of crew members shooting or slashing at each other. Combat is highlighted by g💞unfire/cannon fire, explosions, and blood-splatter effects. Some territories depict corpses impaled on spikes or hanging from nooses; beaches may depict corpses and large bloodstains in the aftermath of battle."
According to inside information from Tom Henderson, Ubisoft plans to re-reveal Skull & Bones some time during the week of July 4. He claims that it won't be all that much, besides a new release date along with some gameplay footage. He also claimed that the game will launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia, which has been confirmed by the ESRB rating as well.
The pirate game had a choppy development phase, with Ubisoft apparently scrapping all progress at one point, to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:start all over again. At the time, creative director, Elisabeth Pellen mentioned that the gam💦e "evolved from its original idea" and needed a fresh team on it, her being o♉ne among them.
