A recent Nintendo Eshop listing has revealed that Skullgirls: 2nd Encore will be coming to the platform on October 22, 2019. After months of teasing the port, publisher Skybound Games is ready to make its stage debut on Nintendo's hybrid platform. Combining all updates and previous DLC into one package, 2nd Encore is the e🎃asiest way to get♛ into the series with little hassle.
As well as the date, we also have a price for this latest port. Switch owners will be able to grab the game digital🗹ly for $24.99 when it does launch. A limited-edition physical bundle is from Skybound's official websi𒐪te. Going for $49.99, it will include the game on a cartridge alongside a soundtrack and controller skin.
Originally , this Switch port of Skullgirls has been eagerly anticipated by fans. Giving players the ability to fight literally anywhere, the Switch is fast becoming a popular platform for indie titles and fighting games alike. What's curious, though, is that any information regarding the Xbox One port of Skullgirls is missing-in-action.
While I assume it is still coming, it's a little strange that Skybound doesn't have anything to say on the matter. The official website doesn't even have the info regarding this release date: it came from Nintendo's own . There would be no reason to cancel such a port, though there's always the possibility of it co🧸ming to Xbox Game Pass for both Xbox One and PC.
I'm sure we'll learn more in the future, either way. Skullgirls remains popular at EVO and having a presence on Switch will only expand the community around the game. With developer Lab Zero Games' Indivisible having recently released, as well, this is a great time to launch a new port to another system. It will bring in a slew of fans that are looking to delve inღto the com♔pany's past.
Xbox One gamers will just need to remain patient for the time being. That's not the best consolation prize, but it's better to have t𝕴he port done properly than rushed.
