Skyrim: Anniversary Edition's new trailer is chock full of content that will be included in the base game without the need to sift through the Creation Club, Steam Workshop, or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nexus Mods websites. We get a glimpse at Shadowrend, survival♈ mode, a new skeleton enemy, and more♔.
"Skyrim is turning ten and we're celebrating in a big way," co-studio director and lead producer Tom Mustaine said. "[We're celebrating] with a concert, a spotlight on some of our favourite community members, an exciting [physical] Anniversary Edition, and some free creations for owners of Skyrim Special Edition."
Aside from Shadowrend, we see two other artifacts - Nerveshatter and Sword of Jyggalag. For context, Jyggalag is the Daedric Prince of Order who was so powerful that the others rose against him, transforming him into the Daedri🃏c Prince of Madness better known as Sheogorath. Yep, the cheese-eating clown that got a whole DLC dedicated to him back in the Oblivion days. Speaking of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Oblivion days, there's a dwemer horse construct that harkens back to the infamous horse armour DLC days, but this doesn't cost anything extra. There's even a cute little bug in a cage that we can rescue and speak to. They're called Manic Elytra Nymph. But that's quickly sidestepped for "soul tomatoes," whatever the hell that means, and the Khajiit caravan upgrade. Now they have rare imports from all over Tamriel including new ingredients, arrows, and poisons. Watching the trailer, we get to see one of the new poisons in action on Nazeem. He won't be going to the Cloud District anytime soon.
We even get a glimpse at Ayleid artifacts such as the Welkynd Stones which aren't just decorative - in fact, they "completely restore magicka" when consumed. That'll come in handy for sorcerers taking on towering constructs, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:legendary dragons, and bandit enclaves.
The biggest change comes with the inclusion of the survival mode, a perfect complement to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the new fishing mechanic. The cold is deadly while you need to eat food and manage your exh൩austion, essentially taking the idea of Frostfall andꦕ adding it to the game in an official capacity. You can scavenge for food, go hunting, buy it, or have fun fishing with 20 potential catches that can be cooked, displayed, or kept as pets in an aquarium.
There's a lot more to see such as the slew of armour sets and weapons, but all of that can be caught in the trailer.
Skyrim: Anniversary Edition launches on November 11 to commemorate its birthday, so get ready to take on dragons and save Tamriel all over again next month. Or don't. You can always chill in Windhelm's inn.
