9 ꦇ Delayed Burial
Unanimously considered the standout character of the 🧸Dark Brotherhood questline in Skyrim, Cicero can actually be encountered much earlier in the game before the Dragonborn ever becomes an assassin. On the road outside Loreius Farm, the energetic jester can be found with a conspicuously large wagon that has broken down on the way to its destination.
The local farmer can be urged to help Cicero despite his gut feeling that the jester isn't to be trusted, or the local guards can be encouraged to arrest him for a made-up crime. Regardless, Cicero will make it to the Falkreath Sanctuary with his cargo, the Night Mother's coffin, and he will have some words for the Dragonborn depending on how they dealt with him on the road.
8 ☂ The Silence Has Been Broken
After completing several quests and returning to the Sanctuary🔜, Astrid will swallow her pride and agree to look into the possible contract given by the Night Mother after naming the Dragonborn her new Listener.
In Volunruud, Amaund Motierre will explain his grand plan to use the brotherhood to eliminate Emperor Titus Mede. A member of the Elder Council, Motierre presumably wants to take the throne for himself, but he promises to pay exceptionally well for the Brotherhood's cooperation.
7 Whispers In The Dark 𓆉
While hiding in the Night Mother's coffin to eavesdrop on Cicero at Astrid's behest, the Dragonborn will instead hear the matron of the organization speak to them telepathically and name them as the new listener, the first one in a very long time.
After a confrontation with Cicer🍌o and a brief dismissal by Astrid, the Dragonborn will return to their duties, but players will know that the Dragonborn has been chosen by the Night Mother, despite the fact that Astrid sees this as a threat to her leadership.
6 Recipe For Disaste🉐r 🍬
During the preparation🦩s for the assassination of the Emperor, Festus Krex learns of a famous chef known as the Gourmet who is soon due to cook for Titus Mede.
The plan is to kill him and take his place so a poisonous meal can be cooked for Mede and he can be taken out quickly. It's a lot of fun to go in a new direction with the Brotherhood's assassinations after a few pedestrian hit and runs.
5 T🐎he Cu🌌re For Madness
Cicero loses the already-shaky trust the Brotherhood had in him after he attacks several of its remaining members and flees to the dilapidated Dawnstar Sanctuary. As the Listener and most notable assassin among them, Astrid sends the Dragonborn after the jester. Once there, Cicero must be hunted to the Sanctuary's end in a game of cat and mouse before the decision to either kill or spare Cicero presents itself.
He claims to have the Brotherhood's best interests at heart and his loyalty to the Night Mother is undeniable, if obsessive. Whichever choice is made, the Dragonborn returns to Astrid and tells her Cicero has been dealt with. Shadowmere also makes a surprise appearance as a permanent mount for the player, sharing its name with Lucien Lachance's horse in Oblivion, which he gifted to the Hero of Kvatch.
4 🐠 With Friends Li𝔍ke These...
De🅷spite being the first real quest to be completed for the Dark Brotherh🍎ood, it remains one of the most original and enjoyable to this day. Having stolen an assassination from the Brotherhood by killing Grelod the Kind, Astrid kidnaps the Dragonborn and instructs them to kill one of three possible bound and blindfolded victims.
The player can choose one of them, kill all three, or attack Astrid. While the latter obviously results in the Dark Brotherhood becoming hostile and opens up a questline to wipe them out compleꦰtely, the other choices will start the Dragonborn on a dark path to meet their new family.
3 ☂ 🔥 To Kill An Empire
Once the Gourmet has been slain and the Dragonborn takes his place, a poisonous meal can be prepared for Emperor Mede to kill him and force the player to make their escape, unless they would rather stay and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:take their cha🦋nceꦯs combating the guards🍌. Though the meal can amusingly be prepared without any poison at all, Titus Mede must then be killed in a more traditional way before the quest can be progressed.
Afterward, however, the Penℱitus Oculatus will confront the Dragonborn and inform them that the Emperor was actually a decoy𝔍 and that somebody within the Brotherhood made a deal with them to betray the Listener.
2 𝔉 Death Incarnate
The Empire leads a full-on assault on the Falkreath Sanctuary after the decoy Emperor has been killed and it is up to the Dragonborn to stop them. After making their way through the Sanctuary and hiding in the Night Mother's coffin for safety at her behest, the Dragonborn can emerge after being saved by Nazir and Babette. It is at this point that Astrid's burned body can be found and she manages to reveal herself as the traitor, though she is now regretful.
Having accepted a deal from the Penitus Oculatus under the pretense that the Brotherhood would be spared as long as the Dragonborn was given up, she now sees that she was wrong and instructs the player to kill her as she has set herself up to be used in the Black Sacrament ritual. This is also where the Dragonborn obtains 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one of the best weapons in the game, the Blade of Woe, which returns from Oblivion.

After everything that befalls the Brotherhood during the course of their Skyrim questline, the question remains concerning whether or not the real Emperor will everﷺ meet his end. The real excitement comes after, though, when the actual Titus Mede can be tracked to a ship in the bay outside Solitude.
There are many bodyguards on the ship tasked with keeping the Emperor from harm and getting to him undetected can be a challenge, but it is undeniably exhilarating to hunt the Emperor of Tamriel on his own ship. After finding him, he will be the one to urge the Dragonborn to kill Motierre in retaliation for ordering his death, though he accepts that his own time has come otherwise. It's a great ending to the Brotherhood's questline, and a new beginning for the shadowy organization as they set their sights on rebuilding.
