It has a port, two mines, and a small local industry to keep the coin flowing into its frozen streets. The city's harsh climate has made it an unpleasant place to live in, being less developed than some other cities in the snow, while being subjected to the same conditions.
Dawnstar is an easy city to forget about, with few reasons to visit. That said, if you find yourself ♕sheltering there, this guide will point to everything the town can offer you f🐓or your preparations for a sojourn into the snow.
Dawnstar Quests
You will be unlikely to visit the city in your pursuit of Alduin. Without any allies or resources to call on here, it is more likely that you would travel to the Pale for work from the Companions or as an assassin with the Dark Brotherhood.
That is not to say that there is nothing at Dawnstar. You can start two Daedric quests from the town.

The Dark Brotherhood
The league of assassins will establish a permanent, if covert, presence in Dawnstar during their questline. You will find yourself traveling to this city frequently when conducting assassinations for them.
One of their earlier contracts, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Contract: Kill Beitild, also targets on💞e of the mine owners, giving you 🎀another reason to visit.
How To Become Thane Of Dawnstar
Your journey to becoming a landed noble in the city will only start after you complete Waking Nightmare. The Jarl, Skald the Elder, will be so grateful that he asks you to clear out a giant camp to earn his favor.
While this is not a request that should be taken lightly, he offers you the chance to become a Thane on your victorious return.
Alternatively, if you sided with the Imperials and captured the city via diplomacy in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Season Unending or took it in battle, the new Jarl, Brina Merilis, will let you earn the position.
From here, like the other cities, you will need to help three locals with their issues before you are made Thane. The Jarl will give you the Blade of the Pale and grant you a housecarl, Gregor, if you have Hearthfire installed.
How To Buy A House In Dawnstar
One of the three Hearthfire homesteads, Heljarchen Hall, can be purchased from Dawnstar's Jarl. It is available after clearing the bandit camp for Jarl Skald or after capturing it for the Imperials.
You will have to own the Hearthfire expansion to build a homestead.
Like the other homesteads, Heljarchen Hall will cost you 5,000 gold to purchase and has a series of improvements that require raw materials for construction.
This homestead has the unique Grain Mill, a facility that lets you refine wheat into sacks of flour, a conversi🃏on that helps you bake more food in your kitchen.
Your lumber needs can be satisfied at Agna's Mill, between Dawnstar and Windhelm. Quarried stone and clay can be gathered from nearby deposits. While there are no iron deposits nearby, you can gather it in bulk from Iron-Breaker Mine.

Merchants
You will be relieved to know that Dawnstar has most kinds of merchants within the city. It has blacksmiths, alchemists, mages, and innkeepers. Unfortunately, it does not have a general goods store.
However, you can offload most lootꦛ to the merchants available, though it may take more effort.

Mines
Two of Dawnstar's most important facilities are the Quicksilver Mine and Iron-Breaker Mine. These mines compete against each other and form the backbone of the city's economy. You can enter the mines and excavate the ore to sell for coin or to use in your projects.
You can guess what each mine produces. While iron is a common ore that is used to produce iron and steel equipment, Dawnstar's other mine produces the significantly more valuable quicksilver ore.
Quicksilver ingots are used in elven and nordic equipment, two powe𒁃rful kinds of equipment that are necessary later in the game.

The port city only has two potential followers to recruit, with the exception of the reclusive Dark Brotherhood followers.

You find this set at Silus Vesuius's House during the quest Pieces of the Past. The robes from the set increase your Magicka Regeneration by 75 percent. The other parts of the set do not have enchantments. |
