How Does Encumbrance Effect You?

How Do You Increase Your Carry Weight?
There is a number ♑of ways in which you can increase your carry weight if you wish to live out your kleptomaniac dreams in Skyrim. They are as follows:
- When leveling up, choosing stamina increases your carry weight by 5.
- Both the light armor and heavy armor perk trees have perks that can make your armor become weightless. Weightless light armor requires 3 perks and 50 skill, while weightless heavy armor needs 4 perks and 7 skill.
- If you are skill 50 in pickpocket, you can use 3 perk points to gain extra pockets in the pickpocket perk tree. This will increase your carry capacity by 100.
- Finding armor with the ‘Fortify Carry Weight’ enchantment, or by taking potions of the same name, will help temporarily improve your carry weight.
- Finally, if you are lucky enough to be able to find it, the Steed Stone will improve your carrying weight.
Additionally, if you are able to obtꦡain unique ar﷽mor, some pieces will improve your carry weight too:
- Thieves Guild Armor adds 20 to your carry capacity, or 35 if you complete the ‘Scoundrels Folly’ quest.
- Guild Masters armor adds 50.
- The Locket of Saint Jiub adds 50.
- Blackguard armor adds 50.
- Deathbrand Boots add 10 to your carry capacity, and 10 more for each piece of Deathbrand armor worn - up to a maximum of 40.
