One of the first missions you'll partake in for the Thieves Guild is Taking Care Of Business, and there are multiple tasks you need to complete within it.
The primary objective of Taking Care Of Business is to collect debts from people around Riften, so intimidation is necessary to finish it. Here's how to complete it and everything you earn from it.

How To Complete Taking Care Of Business
Enter the Ratway through the door with the quest marker and follow the path until you reach the Ragged Flagon. The door is on the bottom section underneath Riften's marketplace. You'll encounter Bandits within the tunnels, but they only appear a few at a time, so defeat them as you encounter them to avoid getting overwhe🦋lmed. A stealth attack can help you gain an advantage in these fights, so bring a bow and a few arrows.
Once you reach the Ragged Flagon, you'll encounter Brynjolf, among other Thieves Guild members. Speak to Brynjolf, and he'll give you a new task to collect debts from three citizens of Riften.
If you continue the conversation, then Brynjolf will tell you about secret methods you can use to collect each debt.
Leave the Ragged Flagon through the same way you entered and enter Riften. Depending on how you solve the first two debts, the final business owner ma💮y immediately 🌼pay their share of the gold upon speaking to them.
You can unlock a shortcut by taking a right after exiting the Ragged Flagon to pull a lever and lower a drawbridge, making it easier to return.
Where To Find Keerava
You can find Keerava inside the Bee And Barb. You can initiate a brawl, in which she'll pay up if you win. Alternatively, you can speak to Talen-Jei in the Bee And Bard to learn about a farm. Return to Keerava and threaten the farm to get her to pay the debt.
Where To Find Bersi Honey-Hand
Similar to Keerava, you can brawl Bersi Honey-Hand inside the Pawned Prawn to get him to pay the gold. If you want to avoid a fight, then you can destroy the Dwarven Urn in the corner and then speak to Bersi to collect the debt.
Where To Find Haelga
The final character you need to collect a debt from is Haelga in Haelga's Bunkhouse. Brawling Haelga is an option, but violence isn't the only way to get her to pay up.
Instead of the brawl, you can commit crimes within Haelga's Bunkhouse and go to jail. Upon returning to Haelga's Bunkhouse and speaking to Haelga, she'll ask you to stop committing crimes and pay you the gold.
Alternatively, you can steal the Dibella Statue in the corner of Haelga's Bunkhouse and speak to her, which will also make her pay the debt.
Return To Brynjolf
After collecting all three debts, return to Brynjolf in the Ragged Flagon through the same tunnel you originally used to find him. Speak to him to complete this quest, and then you can start the next mission in the Thieves Guildꦆ questline.
If you try spending any of the money and return with less than 300 gold, Brynjolf will refuse to consider the job completed until you return with the money.
Every Reward You Earn For Completing Taking Care Of Business
Taking Care Of Business offers a lot of unique rewards that you can't get anywhere else. Upon completion, the Thieves Guild fully accepts you as their newest recruit.
Additionally, you gain the ability to sell stolen items to Tonilia in the Ragged Flagon. You can also now speak to Tonilia to get a full set of Thieves Guilds Armor.
