In the creation myth of The Elder Scrolls, Lorkhan is the celestial being who tricked the Divines into creating mortal life, resulting in the creation of not onꦦly Nirn, but Oblivion and Aetherium as well. For the elves, they view Lorkhan as an evil being who caused them to fall from grace and be forced to ✤live a mortal life, as they believe they are descended from divinity.
Although Lorkhan isn't a part♑ of the Nine Divines of the Imperial pantheon, at least in name, he does appear in the Nordic pantheon in the form of Shor, the god that is noticeably absent in Sovngarde and lead many to suspect that the player character is, in fact, the Shezzarine, the reincarnation of Shor in mortal form.

Like with any real-wor🍸ld religions, some gods are added and removed from the pantheon over time and don't survive into the modern ear.
