Slay The Spire Sells Over 1.5 Million Copies Even Before Its Switch Release

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Slay the Spire has been met with widespread critical acclaim, but we are only now learning how it has been doing in terms of sales. It seems that Slay the Spire has had incredible success and the main reason why is because the game becameꦬ a hit in China.

A spokesperson for MegaCrit revealed during a talk at GDC (via ) that Slay the Spire has sold over 1.5 million copies around the world and that 43% of those sales came from China, even though the game had 𝄹yet to be localized in languages other than English upon release.

The success of Slay the Spire in China prompteꦫd the developers to start𒈔 localizing the game for other regions, to the point where it is now available to play in eighteen different languages.

What makes Slay the Spire's sales numbers even more impressive is that the planned Nintendo Switch port of the game has yet to be released. Slay the Spire is one of the most hotly anticipated Nintendo Switch games, and fans who have experienced the title on other platforms are chomping at the bit to own the game on the Switch. The fans who expected a release date for the Nintendo Switch port of Slay the Spire at GDC have so far been disappointed, as it was ♒absent from both MegaCrit's𝔉 talk and from yesterday's Nindies Direct.

As the entertainment industry continues to grow, there has become more of a dependence on foreign markets. It's now possible for a Hollywood movie to tank in North America, but still be massively successful in other countries, as was the case with Warcraft in China. Slay the Spire is showin🌃g the same kind of model in action in the video game industry, where a game can be massively successful in markets where it isn't even translated into the native language.
