One of the biggest complaints about the Super Smash Bros. series since the days of Brawl is that the online modes were too sluggish for a fighting game. Even a minor amount of lag can ruin someone's game, and wired connections can only help so much. The fact that Sakurai is taking a personal interest in improving the online modes of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is amazing news for Nintendo fans.
