There are Gods in Smite 2 that are fairly one-dimensional, capable of only excelling in one thing, and being a bit of a one-trick pony for it. That doesn't mean those Gods can't be effective, it 💯just means they're only capable of fulfilling one thing that a team needs.

Both Deꦆadlock and Smite 2 s𝓀hift the usual Moba perspective, but which one should you play?

Then there are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Gods like Ra, capable of helping the team in a variety of ways. Ra can deal a solid amount of damage, self-sus🐟tain with regularity, and even support allies through healing and debuffing enemies in various ways. He ca♏n be fit in many different team compositions and slotted into a couple of different roles.

How To Play Ra In Smite 2

Ra in the God select menu of Smite 2.

Ra is normally fitted to play either a Middle or Solo role; this either puts him in the middle lane, or on the right lane, in Conquest. Either way, Ra is likely going to be on their own for sections of time, depending on how your friendly Jungler plays 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:and how other Gods rotate.

Ra Can Damage And Self-Sustain

With this being Ra's usual role, his focus is generally going to be on dealing good damage, and on sustaining himself. He can be t𒆙ilted in either direction based on your build, but he's always going to be capable of a combination of these two things.

Ra's God Aspect, Thermotherapy, is going to pla😼y a large role in how much dam꧂age versus how much healing you're going to be capable of.

Celestial Beam

The Celestial beam ability description in Smite 2.

Celestial Beam is an offensive ability for Ra, firing a ray of light from the sky that moves forward from where you cast it. Enemies that it comes i🐼nto contact with are damaged, with that damage scaling with your Intelligence.

When To Use Celestial Beam

Celestial Beam blasts through a group of enemy minions in Smite 2.

Celestial Beam is a low-cost damaging ability, great for dealing solid damage to a group of enemy minions. Leveled up, it can deal enough damage to minions that one or two basic attacks will finish them off, and hitting a group of them with this at once can ensure your group of minions move thꦕrough that particular wave relatively unscathed.

Celestial Beam isn't going to do great work on enemy Gods, but that's not to say it's useless. It can hit multiple Gods at the same time and is a great way to ensure contact with a God that's retreating from you. It can be a finisher as an enemy just gets out of Basic Attack Range but is easily strafed by ✅enemies paying close attention.

Speed Of Light

The Speed Of Light ability description in Smite 2.

Speed Of Light is Ra's Passive Ability, and we're talking about it here because i♐t is particularly relevant when detailing the next ability.

Speed Of Light gives Ra a five percent Movement Speed buff every time he casts an ability, stacking up to three times, with each instance lasting for 15 seconds. This may not seem particularly useful, but it's capable of saving Ra's life multiple times throughout a match.

How To Get The Most Out Of Speed Of Light

Speed Of Light is capable of helping Ra escape from danger with relative ease. This is particularly useful considering Ra does not have access to any⛦ movement-style abilities that launch him in a direction.

This is going to require careful positioning and timing to make it work. Staying too close to enemy Gods or getting ambushed is going to negate this bonus significantly. You'll need to keep yourself in situations where you have the s𝄹pace to begin a retreat for this to make a difference. But, when it does, other Gods are going to be entireไly unable to catch you.

Speed Of Light can also be used offensively. Enemy Gods that are retreating can be caught from behind, provided they don't have too much of a head-start. Just be sure not to over-extend.

Divine Light

The Divine Light ability description in Smite 2.

Divine Light applies a stack of slow to enemies inside a 4.8-meter-radius every half a second for two seconds, leading up to four stacks of slow. Each stack slows an enemy's Movement Speed by five percent, meaning if they're hit by all four stacks, they'll be slowed by 20 percent. Each stack lasts for three seconds.

Divine Light also deals damage two seconds after casting it in that same radius, scaling with your Intelligence. On top of that, Basic Attacks while Divine Light is active deal additional damage with Solar Rays, dealing increased damage, and piercing through targets.

Divine Light also blinds enemies with its explosion.

These Solar Rays also count as abilities aꦅnd trigger any ability effects, including Speed Of Light.

When To Use Divine Light

Ra uses Divine Light to escape an enemy in Smite 2.

Divine Light is a great ability for multiple reasons. Firstly, it makes it very difficult for enemy Gods to finish you off when used well. Between it triggering the Speed Of Light passive, the slow effect it gives enemies, and the blinding effect when it eventually explodes, activating Divine Light in the right situation is an almost surefire way to ensure you stay alive.

Divine Light can also be used to great effect offensively, though the best use-case for this would be with a melee ally nearby, or with a group of minions with you since Ra is not meant for close combat.

But, Ra can activate Divine Light and continue Basic Attacking enemies, dealing increased damage with his Solar Rays, and severely incapacitating enemies after two seconds, with the explosion of light.

Solar Blessing

The Solar Blessing ability description in Smite 2.

Solar Blessing is Ra's primary healing ability, creating a radius of 3.2 meters that heals allies, including ally minions, for a certain amount every second for six seconds. While that healing doesn't scale with any particular stat, the damage it does per tick scales with Intelligence.

Solar Blessing also provides Physical and Magical protection for allies inside, reducing the damage that they take.

How To Get The Most Out Of Solar Blessing

Solar Blessing is not going to turn a wildly unwinnable fight into a winnable one, but it will give you and your allies the edge in a close fight, as well as usually give ally minions one extra hit before an enemy tower destroys them. When spread over multiple minions, this can give you a few more seconds to damage it, making a big difference throughout a match.

And, while Solar Blessing isn't going to dramatically turn the tide of a fight on its own, it can make a significant difference when multiple allies are empowered by it, or when used in tandem with other abilities, like Divine Light.

Solar Blessing can also help you recover a bit faster outside of combat, keeping you from needing to teleport back to spawn to recover. The healing it provides is not extreme, at least not until the later leve💎ls, but it does make a difference.

Searing Pain

The Searing Pain ability description in Smite 2.

Searing Pain is Ra's ultimate ability, dealing extreme damage in a line in front of you. It does take a second to charge up, so you'll need to aim carefully and possibly anticipate an enemy's movement, but when it lands, they're going to notice it. Searing Pain also deals more damage the more health an enemy has, scaling at five percent extra damage, based on the enemy's maximum health.

Searing Pain does have a cooldown of at least a minute, depending on the level of the ability, so be su𝓰re to get the most out of the use of it. That said, don't hold off on using it for too long, either, or you may as well not have the ability.

When To Use Searing Pain

Ra uses Searing Pain to destroy an enemy God in Smite 2.

Searing Pain is a perfect finishing move. It has a very good range at 19.2 m꧟eters and will be lethal damage to most enemies by the time they decide to fully retreat.

Searing Pain can also essentially wipe a group of enemy minions in one blast as well, allowing your minions to fully advance without pausing. When a Tower is nearing destruction, this can be a good way to quickly apply the last bit of pressure needed to take the Tower the rest of the way down.

The Aspect Of Thermotherapy God Aspect

The Aspect Of Thermotherapy God Aspect in Smite 2.

Ra's God Aspect, Thermotherapy, can tweak him much more into a support direction than a damage direction. This changes how both Solar Blessing and Searing Pain work, keeping their damage from scaling but giving them extra healing functionality.

  • Solar Blessing: Thermotherapy enables Solar Blessing to be placed on ally Gods, giving you an easier time ensuring they get the most of the healing, instead of placing it in a spot and hoping they stay put inside it.
  • Searing Pain: In the case of Searing Pain, Thermotherapy will allow you to heal allies hit with the ability. This makes it a truly great combination ability, perfect for damage and healing.

When To Use Ra's Aspect Of Thermotherapy

Thermotherapy is best applied when you know you're going to be playing a match with an ally near you for the majority of the fight. It limits Ra's damage enough that it can be more difficult to play a lane on your own with Thermotherapy, but with an ally, it can go a long way to keeping you both on your feet.
