"Just to clear things up, the Snake cameo video that we showed during Tekken finals was our idea of a little joke,” the organizers wrote on . “It was not intended to imply a character reveal and was done on our 🅷own, without consulting Bandai Namco. Sorry for any confusion!”

Gamers were devastated at the news, but Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter was just angry. He tweeted out later that day that EVO “failed to consult me, or Konami” for their little prank, and to never use h✤is🌌 voice to promote other games. “Ever.”

There was at least some official Tekken news . Season 3 of Tekken 7’s DLC characters was announced, including Zafina returning from Tekken 6 and new 𝄹character Leroy Smith, who we know nothing about but will arrive later this winter.
