Dr. Eggman is consistently the most entertaining character in the Sonic series, which doesn't change in Colors: Ultimate. Every time Eggman decides to inject himself into the game, he brings a good time, presenting a challenge while giving you a laugh along the way.
Unfortunately, the developers chose to blare loud music over the announcements, making it hard to hear𓆏 some of the most entertaining content the game offers. While it does make the listening experience just as miserable as real life,🙈 this is one of the rare instances where reality should have been left alone. A funny line delivered through muffled speakers is enough, adding in an extra layer of difficulty takes away from the writing.
6 Sonic's Lack Of Urgency

Eggman taking over the Wisp's planet is the main point of the game but they never explain the other planets that appear as part of his Interstellar Amusement park. All that remains are Eggman's robots maintaining his galactic carnival, either a daunting sign of Eggman's wrath or a missed opportunity to introduce some new characters to the series. Given the success the Wisps have had through multiple games, a new species would have been a welcome surprise.
4 An Unc🧜ontrolled Fleet
Throughout the game, you'll zoom past a gigantic space fleet that casually passes in and around the park while you work to destroy the place. At the time, they're under Eggman's control, but once you defeat the evil scientist, there's no explanation for what happens next.
Wrapping up every little loose end isn't realistic, especially when you're operating on a planetary level, but once you see this expansive group of ships, it's hard not to question their fate. Either Eggman had an unknown backup plan, or thousands of ships are aimlessly floating around the solar system.
3 The Wisps Have Relocated 𝓡ꦉ
More of a technical d🉐ecision than a plot hole, the different kinds of wisps have been relocated to different spots in the park, throwing any previous knowledge players of the original have in the trash. The new wisp ability, the jade ghost, did have to be squeezed in, but reorganizing the entire 🍎system was a jump.
New content is always welcome, the Jade wisp being one of the only completely new additions to Ultimate. However, changing the wisp wasn't necessary or wanted, altering how some of the best stages in the game are played and taking away some enjoyable moments.
2 ♕ All The C♛hallenge Is Gone
The original Colors had a harsh death system, bringing yo﷽u back to the start of the level with no continue option. No revives put a hard stop to any hope of an S ranking on your mission, laying the pressure on thick while♔ trying to achieve the highest rank possible.
In Ultimate, they've given you an out by sending Tails to rescue you if you fall into a pit. While getting rid of the lives system is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:meant to include new players, Colors was already one of the simplest Sonic games in the series, and they just put a🍎 difficulty buffer on it. Following the crowd and putting the bumpers up, Ultimate missed its chance to stand out among a nerfed crowd.

In most games, it's usually a question of what to cut to make the game fit a specific playtime, while Ultimate went the other way. Instead of keeping things short and sweet, they cut previously designed levels in half and stretched the content out to make two stages.
Most of the stages in Colors were supposed to be🌺 optional levels for other games, instead of being used to Frankenstein together an entirely new title. They did an excellent job with what they had, but fans will always be left wondering what could have been if they had taken the time to think of original ideas instead of expanding levels to suit Ultimate.
