Just a few days ago, it was discovered that The End from Sonic Frontiers could be spotted menacingly looming over the Blue Blur and his friends in one of the game's final stages, but it turns out that there's an even scarier figure lurking in the game - Sonic R's infamous Tails Doll.

For those that don't remember the Tails Doll, , a strange racing game that had Sonic and his friends running around courses to such memorable songs as "Can You Feel The Sunshine?". There wasn't an obvious reason why a creepy doll version of Tails was put into the game, .
After becoming the stuff of internet legend, Tails Doll strangely hasn't made an appearance in a game since Sonic R (). Well, that's just changed thanks to Sonic Superstars, which features a cameo from the creepy Tails lookalike, who weirdly also acts as a collectible.
, the Tails Doll easter egg can be spotted in Pinball Carnival Zone's second act. The main gimmick of this level is riding around on train-like moving platforms and, towards the midpoint of the act, you can find one that drops you on top of a platform to continue going through the level.
Once you reach that platform, your instinct migh𒁃t be to keep running (it is a Sonic game, after all), but you should instead follow the strange whistling noise that starts as soon as you🃏 jump off the cart. Doing so will lead you right to the Tails Doll, who can be seen floating around in the air and staring at Sonic.
It's not clear why the Tails Doll is here, but you can actually jump into him to collect him, as he's actually a disguised Gold Medal. Again, no clue why that's the case, but at least he's doing a bit more than just scaring people. I'm sure there's a creepypasta being worked on right now that explains just that.
Although this is the first time that the Tails Doll has appeared in a mainline Sonic game since Sonic R in 1997, he's been making ends meet by . No matter where he appears, though, he's just as creepy as he was 25 years ago.
