It seems like Robotnik might be Jim Carrey’s final role. The actor recently went on Access Hollywood to discuss the upcoming 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sonic The Hedgehog sequel that hits North American theaters next week when he dropped a bombshell on Kit H🌼oover.
“Well, I’m retiring. Yeah, probably. I’m being fair✤ly serious,” Carrey said (as transcribed by ). “It depends. If the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road, but I’m taking a 💞break.”
Carrey’s big break first came with 1994’s Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, followed by a number of iconic roles in the mid-’90s in Dumber and Dumber, Liar Liar, and The Rid🐷dler in Batman Forever. Although primarily known for his comedic🉐 performances, Carrey revealed his ability to go beyond being a mere funnyman in 1998’s The Truman Show and then again in 1999’s Man on the Moon, a biographical piece about the life of comedian Andy Kaufman.
After 2014’s Dumb And Dumber To, Carrey departed the world of major motion pictures in favor of several indie projects as well as Showtime’s Kidding TV series, which ran for two seasons before being cancelled in 2020. Coincidentally, Carrey r🅺eturned to the silver screen in the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie, which became that year’s surprise hit. Carrey will reprise his role as the evil Dr. Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, in theaters now in Europe and on April 8 in North America.
As for what Carrey will do in retirement, he’ll apparently devote more time to his hobby: pai💟nting. “I really like my quiet life and I really like putting paint on canvas and I really love 🔯my spiritual life and I feel like — and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists — I have enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough.”
Carrey’s retirement does seem to put a question on who will play Robotnik 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in future films that take place in the Sonic cinematic univers﷽e.
