The Sonic The Hedgehog movie was already seen by millions of people from around the world. The story was enjoyed by both Sonic fans and people new to the colorful character. During the first part of the movie, before Sonic reaches Earth, he is chased by some critters. Those critt🗹ers are actually the Knuckles Clan, which first appeared in the Sonic The Hedgehog Archie Comics. The lore inside the comics state🦂s that the clan is made out of warriors from Albion that established themselves in Soumerca.
While the Knuckles Clan in the comics eventually ended up being extinct, in the movie they are pretty much alive. Them appearing was appreciated by many fans that now want to see them in the sequel for Sonic The Hedgehog.
9 🎃 Green Hills, Montana
Most of the action in the movie happens in Green Hills, Montana, which is a fictional town that is said to be established in the year 1981. That year is just 2 years before Sega launched the first game in the series. This is a much more suitable place for Sonic to start his adventure on Earth than many viewers realize because the Green Hill Zone was the very first location that gamers visited during the Genesis boot of Sonic The Hedgehog.
The Green ꦇHill Zone did reaper in several games, being rec🅘ognized as one of the most famous of all levels played in all games.
8 Doc🌠tor Eggman
Dr. Ivo Rಞobotnik is Sonic’s archnemesis but this is the name that is known by fans in the US and E♈urope. Originally, the name used was Eggman. According to an interview with Game Informer, Sega’s Sonic Team head, Takashi Iizuka, declared that everyone behind the video games still calls Robotnik by the name Eggman.
Officially, the name was changed in the US without talking to the creator. The name Robotnik quickly became really popular and the developers actually decided to start using Ivo Robotnik as the canonical name of the villain, with Eggman becoming the nickname. 7 ✱ 𓆉 The Badniks Reference
In the Sonic video games, Robotnik’s mechanical army features cyborg creatures. They were called Badniks and were powered th♐rough the use of live animals. This was referenced in the movies but yo👍u most likely missed it.
As Dr. Robotnik works to 🧔harness the power coming from th💫e supercharged quill obtained from Sonik, the mobile headquarters ends up being shorted out. During most of the movie, Sonic just wea♊rs his sneakers. When he goes to work out though, we can see a headband. Th🥀is appears as Sonic trains with some nunchucks. The reason why the headband might seem familiar is the fact that it is actually the logo of the original Sonic game.
While this logo did end up changing as years pass🔜ed, mainly adding extra characters and making the wings sharper, the headband that was used in the movಌie is just like the original. It only lacks Sonic’s face right in its middle.
5 ⛄ ꦰ Sega Saturn
Few noticed the shoutout made to the Sega Saturn inside the Sonic The Hedgehog movie. As we see Sonic analyzing his map so that he can choose where to go with the use of the rings, we can notice the logo for Saturn right▨ on it. We also see that the following💧 world is a mushroom world.

All throughout the movie, various pop culture and mode🌠rn references are made, like talks about Keanu Reeves and many successful movies. What was weird to see though was a reference to “plutonium” and “emails” as Maddie’s sister talks ไabout what could be under the blanket that Tom comes in with.
Nowadays, this seems like a reference that is totally out of place but it can easily be a nod to the many conspiracy theoౠries that appeared in relation to Hilary Clinton. These happened in 2016 and might have been left in the movie simply to highlight how long it took the script to be written.
3 ꦏ When Time Stands Still
One of the most iconic Sonic animations that appeared in the video games is that of him tapping his foot whenever the character was not used. After Sonic The Hedgehog 2, the animation was ♔improved with Sonic also checking his watch.
In the movie, as Robotnik shoots rockets at Sonic, the blue hedgehog uses the exact animation in𓆉 the movie. He even checks his watch to mock the attack. While this movie animation is not as cocky as we see in the games, the impatient nature of the original is still present.
2 🐟 The Debut Of Miles
The only way to miss this is when you leave the cinema before the end credits start, which is not something that you are supposed to do with such animations. After the pixel art credits end, Mil✱es “Tails” Prower appeared. It looks like he comes out of an i💯nterplanetary portal, just like Sonic did when he reached Earth.
Tails is 🎃looking for Sonic and this appearance might be the start of the plot for the sequel for the movie. We learn that Tails🐎 might have found Sonic too late but we do not know what actually happened.
1 The Sounds Of ไThe Games 𓆏
The Sonic games are recognized as having some of the best soundtracks in gaming history. In fact, some of the songs in Sonic The Hedgehog 3 were composed by Michael Jackson.
In the movie, there were several game classic tunes that were added. This includes a Sega Genesis theme version that appears during opening credits and a Green Hill Zone theme that is heard as the closing moments carry out and Maddi♚e repairs the dining room with Tom.
