Saying how many will often ask about Smith's reaction to not getting a certain role as an actor, S♊mith gave a rhetorical response to the question in a somewhat critical of the question itself.

It's hard to know what Smith's tweet is specifically with reference to. It's worth noting that the upcoming film, Sonic the Hedgehog, stars Ben Schwartz as the motion capture and voice actor instead of Roger Craig Smith. Smith has been the voice of Sonic in many games over the years, and also provided Sonic's voice in Wreck-It Ralph and Ralph Breaks the Internet.
However, Smith has also starred in numerous other voice acting roles. For instance, he also lent his voice to Naruto, Bleach, the Metal Gear Solid series, the Resident Evil series, Batman: Arkham Origins, and Dying Light.

As for the movie itself, Sonic the Hedgehog will be hitting theaters February 14th, just in time for Valentine's Day.
