He runs into some other old friends too, like E-123 Omega, Rogue, and... Big the Cat. I mean, the latter is hardly a bestie of his, but it's always nice to see Big in another game. No fꦑishing minigame 𓂃to be had this time though, alas.

While this is our first time seeing Maria in a while, we're actually going to see her depicted once more before the year is over. She's set to appear in the third Sonic movie, which seems to be accurately s🅷ticking to Shadow's ba❀ckstory in the games.
