With the spat between Marvel and Sony fans are resting easy knowing that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Spider-Man will be returning to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Marvel Cinematic Universe. This seems like the perfect time to also get rid of the exclusivity with the Sony 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 4 and commit to future development on a multiplatform basis. Marvel's Spider-Man on the Nintendo Switch? Yes, please!
For those not familiar with the drama between these two titans of media industry, problems arose during negotiations between Disney and Sony when the two could not agree on new terms for financing of films going forward to secure the use of Sp𒅌ider-Man. Disney reportedly asked for the film to be financed in a 50/50 split with Kevin Feige kept in a consulting producer role. Sony meanwhile saw no reason to concede to such terms, and countered with keeping the status quo, which sees marvel receive 5% of first-dollar gross and all merchandising revenue. Then, negotiations fell apart completely, and it seems as though the MCU would lose its beloved Spide▨r-Man.
After much work from both parties, the new deal reportedly sees Disney up their take to about 25% of the profi🍒ts for future films and maintain their merchandising rights, while Spider-Man is set to appear in a future film within the MCU.
With the deal made, now is the perfect time to reevaluate the notion of keeping our friendly-neighborhood Spider-Man exclusive to the PlayStation 4 console. Sony has dozens of popular exclusive titles, including 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Uncharted, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bloodborne, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Horizon Zero Dawn, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:God Of War, and more. Gating one of the most beloved MCU characters to Sony’s console seems antiquated, a🅰nd the idea of seeing developer Insomniac produce their next game for other platforms would be a dream come true.
Marvel’s Spider Man from 2018 is arguably the best super-hero video game ever developed. It offers a great story that did not rely upon the ongoing development of the MCU, and many cosmetic items to customize the appearance of a character. Imagine the next game in the series being released for the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, and the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Google Stadia. The idea of having such a 🍌great game on a portable system like the Switch would be a dream come true♊.
That might be too much to ask of Sony, since they are dominant in the console market right now and there is no need to release their exclusive titles to other platforms. 2020 also marks the release of ♔their next generation PlayStation console, which is even more reason to r🤪emain entrenched with their exclusive properties.
Instead, the best we can probably hope for is an eventual port of the current Spider-Man game to the N🦹intendo Switch. Even then, Sony holds all the cards in this matter, and sharing their prized characters seems like an unnecessary move even if fans would love the 💞idea.
