Sony became one of the main three competitors in the console market, so naturally, they have a fair few exclusives. Some of these o💦riginal IPs, as well as third-party ones, have spawned some interesting spin-offs that not everyone might have heard about.

10 God ༒of War: Ascension, Chains Of Olympus, & Ghost Of Sparta

SIE Santa Monica Studio was blown back into the spotlight with the release of God of War for the PS4, a soft reboot that reinvigorated their iconic hack and slash franchise. Before then, God of War꧒ was known for the original three numbered entries, with the third receiving a rema𒉰ster for the current generation.

However, God of War spans more than the main four entries, as there are two PSP spin-offs, dubbed Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus, as well as a prequel that debuted on the PS3 called Ascension. If you're a fanatic abဣout the lore and world that Kꦅratos inhabits, these may be worth giving a spin.

9 𒆙 Jak & Daxter X, The Lost Frontier, & Daxt෴er

Fans may be clambering for another Jak and Daxter, but some might not know that there are three spin-offs that compliment the original three games. There's a racing title, called X, a Jak II prequel named Daxter, and a PSP and PS2 sequel called The Lost Frontier that Naughty Dog handed off to High Impact Games.

X and Daxter were well-received by fans and critics alike, with X being bundled as part of the collection on the PS4; conversely, The Lost Frontier received the low꧙est Metacritic score in the franchise, sitting at 71%. Even Naughty Dog expressed that they weren't happy with it being "."

8 Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, Size Matters, Q-Force, & Secreꦓt Agent Clank

Ratchet, Clank, Qwark, and Doctor Nefarious stand together on a rock

High Impact Games is a studio made up of ex-Naughty-Dog and ex-Insomniac employees, so naturally, they didn't stop at a Jak and Daxter spin-off. They also made two PSP games for Ratchet & Clank, dubbed Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank, which were once again sidekick-centric spin-offs.

Then, there are the two PlayStation 3 multiplayer-focused spin-offs, All 4 One and Q-Force, developed by Insomniac. The former is a c൲o-operative experience fꩲairly similar to the main entries, whilst the latter is a tower defense title.

7 ๊ Resident Evil: Survivor

Following the gargantuan success of the Resident Evil series, Capcom opted to try and freshen things up with a first-person light gun shooter spin-off exclusively released for the original Pl💟ayStation.

Survivor was met with lackluster reviews, sitting currently at a measly 39% on Metacritic. The consensus was that the experience was overall jarring because it was a shooter that attempted to retain the series' roots as a slow-paced horror franchise. Toppled with lackluster graphics, and Survivor was doomed ꦬto fail – it didn't have much to reel anybody in, not even die-hard fans.

6 Tenchu: F🅷atal Shadows

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:FromSoftware, the developers of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, was the brains and brawn behind Tenchu, but they only publisꦍhed this PlayStation 2/PSP spin-off, as it was developed by K🐼2 LLC.

Fatal Shadows takes place between the original Tenchu and the third game. The story follows Ayame and Rin as they go on a journey to discover who was to blame for destroying the village that Rin called home. Despite being similar to other entries in the series, it amassed a poor reception, strug🔥gling at a low 58% Metacritic score.

5 Mortal Kombat: Special For𒐪ces 𓆏

The Mortal Kombat movies aren't the only ones that find themselves with incredibly low critical scores, as  Special Forces, a PlayStation exclusive, was no different๊, amassing a catasﷺtrophic 28% Metacritic score.

This 3D action ga✅me breaks from the mold as it follows Jax Briggs, the sole playable 🔜character, as he tracks down the Black Dragon. However, there are various other familiar faces that appear, such as Kano and Tremor.

4 ❀ inFAMOUS: Festival of ⛄Blood

Many players have no doubt heard of the inFAMOUS series, which has three main-line entries that are available on PlayStation consoles; however, way back in 2011, a spin-off called Festival of Blood dropped.

It is one of the best-rated titles on this list, sitting at a comfortable 78% on Metacritic, which is likely due to it not changing too much fr⭕om the original, acting as a continuation rather than a deviation. It tells the story of Cole's transformation into vampirism, which brings about the removal of the series' karmic choices.

3 ꧅ ꧂ Call of Duty: Roads to Victory

There's a lot of Call of Duty spin-offs for handheld devices, given that porting the home consoles entries onto the less powerful consoles might be somewhat of a challenge, so there's an entirely different Nazi Zombies mode for Black Ops'ꦏ DS version, as we🎀ll as a custom-made game for the PSP.

Call of Duty: Roads to Victory is a spin-off of Call of Duty 3, developed by Amaze Entertainment. It has three single-player campaigns that provide American, Canadian, and British perspectives of World War II. It al༒so offers the series' flagship multiplayer, with options for deathmatch, capture the flag, and the king of the hill.

2 Assassin's Creed: 👍Bloodl𓃲ines

Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad was the debut protagonist alongside Desmond Miles for the Assassin's Creed franchise. While Altaïr re-appeared briefly in Assassin's Creed II and Revelations, he did helm another game in 2009 on the PSP.

Bloodlines is set in-between the events of the first two games, telling the story of Altaïr as he infiltrates a Templar stronghold in order to stop them from escaping to Cyprus. There, he meets Maria Thorpe, who is expanded upon in the second mainline game in the series. It's an interesting interim title that provides more context to the Altair seen in Assassin's Creed II through Desmond's hallucinations.

1 Half-Life: Decay 🅷 ♊

Gearbox, who is best known for Borderlands, developed three spin-offs for the original Half-Life. There was Blue Shift, which told the story of Barney Calhoun, Opposing Force which gave players an insight into the military's perspective of the Black Mesa incident, and Decay, a co-op experience designed for two players.

Blue Shift and Opposing Force are available on PC, but Decay was never officially ported, only now accessible on PC thanks to the efforts of dedicated fans. In terms of official releases, Decay remained a PlayStation 2 exclusive and was bundled with the original Half-Life.
