Sony has slapped a "Ready for PlayStation 5" tagline on two of its new TVs, but a little research has revealed that claim isn't 🃏strictly true.

The next generation of gaming is almost upon us, and many gamers will be doing all that they can to prepare for it. That will include saving up for whichever console they want to buy, despite neither company💖 revealing how much they will cost, and deciding which one they will go for. It could also inc༺lude kitting yourself out with the very best accompanying equipment to ensure the next-gen experience is as good as it possibly can be.

The most important piece of equipment outside of the console itself is, of course, the television. Sony has the benefit of manufacturing TVs as well as consoles, which explains the move it made recently. A couple of its newer TVs received a "Ready for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 5" tagline in 💧an attempt to help consumers pick the best set to go with their co♎nsole when it arrives.

However, has since revealed that the two TVs to receive the Ready for PS5 tagline aren't entirely ready for PS5. The assumption is that any TV ready for the next generation of console can support gaming in 4K at 120 fps, which will require an HDMI 2.1 input. The cheaper TV option with the꧙ tagline is the X900H, and it is not currently capable of supporting any of that just yet.

A future firmware update will🌜 allow for an HDMI 2.1 input. Fair enough as the PS5 isn't on the market yet. However, when Sony was pushed for a date on when the firmware will be updated, it refused to offer up anything concrete. As for the other set to have been labeled ready for PS5, the Z8H, that does have an HDMI 2.1 input. However, even that set isn't fully ready for everything the PS5 has to offer.

The Z8H doesn't offer VRR, which allows for gaming without stuttering, or ALLM, which makes it as responsive to gaming as possible. While there's no doubting that these TVs will go well with a PS5, and make the most out of some of the features being ushered in by the next-gen of console, they don't support them all as the tagline implies. Tweaking the slogan to something like "make the most out of your PS5 with this TV" would be advisable, but since that isn't as catchy as the ওone Sony has opted for, it probably won't catch on.
