Eyes Out is a brand new game studio from Spec Ops: The Line creative director Cory Davis and Ni🌟ne Inch Nails guitairst Robin Finck.
It is an LA-based studio that - - is working on "dark, atmospheric games with an emphasis on storytelling." This is evident by the studio's very first project which is already in the works. It'll be a cosmic horror jaunt with a focus on environmental storytelling. Finck stated that the game will explore "the theme of human consciousness as it relates to the seen and unseen properties of vibration and sound."
However, this untitled game is early in development so Eyes Out doesn't have much to share just yet, but news will be trickling out in the coming months. Finck added, "We're pushing the boundaries of the horror genre to create a thoughtful, lasting, terrifying gameplay experience.
Nine Inch Nails has worked with games in the past so it's no surprise that guitarist Robin Finck is finally diving into a studio headfirst. Cory Davis meanwhile is known for his work on Spec Ops: The Line, FEAR: First Encounter Assault Recon: Extraction Point, and Here They Lie. Finck personally has worked on music for other games such as Observation and NO🍌CT.
"When I was finishing up work on Here They Lie, Robin wandered into our studio and I felt a very strong connectio🌠n to his open, creative view of ex꧒istence, and the power of music," Davis said. "We instantly started working on some prototypes I had in development at the time and together we launched straight toward something unexpected.
"Robin's vibrant and boundless approach to the creative process drives our work far beyond my previous experience. It's such an exhilarating trip to venture into the darkness together."
